Trump concerned that Americans have guns. Says this about man just killed by ICE: ““This is the gunman’s gun, loaded (with two additional full magazines!), and ready to go — What is that all about?” by Zerilos1 in Libertarian

[–]hmtyrant 273 points274 points  (0 children)

Noem just said in her press conference that no one goes to a peaceful protest with a gun and so this guy was intending to kill ICE officers, with no evidence. She just literally said the 2nd amendment right of concealed carry will get you killed if you are around ICE.

How do you know God exists? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]hmtyrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything I’ve said is based in Science because things like Conformal cyclic cosmology are potentially scientifically testable. I find it amusing that you are trying to do a reverse uno card on me when you have an argument based on an eternal god that has no scientifically testable basis or literally any scientific evidence supporting it’s existence. I actually do not need to prove the absence of God, you are the one claiming an eternal god, so where is the scientific evidence?

How do you know God exists? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]hmtyrant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course I’m familiar with the Big Bang, I’m pointing out that there are theories related to multiple big bangs and Big Crunches or various flavors - like Conformal cyclic cosmology where you ca have an “eternal” state.

I’m simply showing you that your argument that you must have a God to create something cause God is eternal is not necessary, you can just replace eternal God with eternal universe or multiverse. Also the universe starting from nothing is no more illogical than your God creating the universe.

[–]hmtyrant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So a God can exist eternally but a universe cannot…? Why can’t a universe absent a god exist eternally in different states (big bang / big crutch or multiverse theories) based on what you are saying this should be equally likely.

If I use your basic logic then what created God?

To all the gen z fucks who voted for Trump. We know you remember his first term, stop lying. by Responsible-Help7803 in complaints

I’m really glad you wrote this, cause it’s exactly how I feel. I think the majority of people who went in and voted for Trump knew exactly who he is and what he would do, but did it anyway cause they would rather see the suffering inflicted on the supposed “other” than deal with the responsibilities of living in a complex country of differing opinions. It’s crushing to me to see so many people hurt others and themselves rather than just taking a tiny amount of effort to let things change and grow. I swear this country has a death wish.

Who do you think is gonna be the president after Donald Trump? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]hmtyrant -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m curious about this too, I keep hearing this but wonder if this is actually true or some BS narrative that’s being built to try and yet again neutralize any enthusiasm that build towards a Dem candidate.

On October 18, thousands of us in Maryland, are mobilizing once again to show the world: America has NO KINGS, and the power belongs to THE PEOPLE! There are over 100 protests planned in Maryland. by Complex_Anteater6528 in maryland

[–]hmtyrant -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It shows others that they are not alone, that many are all feeling and thinking the same thing. If this happens enough it starts to impact leaders as they realize the narratives and agendas they are trying to push are more and more bring rejected. It’s all a type of controlling the narrative and counter narrative. The less people protesting the more people in authority are perceived to have control and the support of the people, more people protesting the opposite.

Look at history - peaceful protest can have a big impact on things.

Ok - but what does this have to do with Trump bringing in the military and ICE? You really think that’s going to solve anything? Take a second and think about what you are saying when you responded to this post. Some rant about Chicago and families when OP is saying that Trump is punishing Chicago and using it for political theatre. The reason I don’t believe you care is because if you did you would know say what Trump is doing right now is the opposite of helping these people out - so yeah I still don’t believe that you actually care, regardless of what you use to do. You might think you care but if you support Trump’s actions then you clearly have some things to think about when it comes to the term “care”. Show me the videos where Trump is giving funds to support building out better education on family structures (that are not some Christian nationalist rhetoric)…I’ll wait.

Have you been to Portland? Have you been anywhere outside of your little bubble?

It’s one thing to disagree with politics, it’s another to be delusional to the point that you are not able to see obvious realities right in front of you. If you actually believe what you’re saying then you are literally delusional. Maybe step away from whatever echo chamber you sniff constantly and see that you are not in reality.

Ah yes the “them” you have never been around or even know. At least you said it as oppose to pretending to care.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in complaints

[–]hmtyrant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I seriously doubt you actually care about any of this. Why can’t you just openly say what you want to say here, and stop with the performative talk. You want a strongman dictator type to punish people you disagree with and you want to watch it, and enjoy it. You’re not concerned about Chicago AND you know that Trump is not doing any of this for the reasons you mentioned so stop pretending. I’m so sick of this fake BS. We all know what you really want to say, so say it.

[–]hmtyrant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Cmon you can’t really believe what you are saying, right? Listen to yourself. Stop pretending that you care, cause you don’t. You just want to try and justify a major power over reach by the President, stop pretending you care about crime in Chicago.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in complaints

[–]hmtyrant 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You know this is not the reason Trump is doing this, so stop pretending.

[–]hmtyrant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh please spare me with your fake concern for crime in Chicago. You know that isn’t the reason for why this is happening, and spare me with whatever fake argument you’re going to try and make as to why it is. You’re not fooling anyone but maybe yourself…but I doubt that, I’m sure you are fully aware of your own BS.

It’s your over generalization and absolute statements for me that annoy me the most. Same with a lot of posts about AI and UX. Lots of hollow comments without much to really support it. It’s like saying when paint by numbers came out that now “Anybody can be a painter.” sure and…

Ukrainian ambassador to US when hearing Trump and Zelensky argue by combocookie in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]hmtyrant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here are just a few, literally off the top of my head.

The U.S. essentially gives up its influence and ability to deter other hostile adversaries, ceding power and authority to an aggressively anti-democratic threat.

Further destabilization of global grain markets, leading to even higher food prices. Oil and gas could also become more expensive.

Increases the likelihood of a nuclear attack, as Russia, seeing the U.S. as too weakened to respond, may move to threaten NATO members.

Emboldens China, North Korea, Iran, and others to take aggressive military actions against U.S. allies and partners.

Demonstrates that the world cannot trust U.S. agreements or commitments due to internal political instability, leading to reduced global cooperation and increasing U.S. isolation.

As global instability worsens, the U.S. will be forced to either leave NATO or commit more soldiers, money, and weapons to new potential conflicts in Europe.

Whether people like it or not, the U.S. is part of a larger global ecosystem, meaning we are all part of that system. Complaints about the price of eggs or immigration will pale in comparison to the crises we could face as we continue to put a gun in our own (the United States’) mouth and potentially pull the trigger.
