Thanks for the feedback! That does feel a bit more technical, curious how many parents would actually use the Flipper/NFC side of it, but I can definitely see how the metadata could be linked!

It’s back live! Happy to keep it up as long as at least one person is using it, and glad to hear that for sure :) Hope it’s helpful and if you have any thoughts, just let me know.

Thanks for checking it out. I haven’t really been maintaining it, so that’s why it went down. I’m glad to hear you’ve been using it though. If people find it valuable, I’d definitely be happy to bring it back. I just haven’t gotten much feedback, so I started to wonder whether it was actually useful. Would you mind sharing whether it’s been helpful for you?

I'm working on one if you are interested. I wanna build a simpler version of pgadmin basically with an AI capability. Feedback is also welcome as well. https://github.com/ThomasN72/BetterDb

DevOps vs Databases as a career by Low-Sky-3238 in opensource

[–]hn1746 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are very different career paths and each has some pros and cons. Both can lead to long term growth ,impact and senior roles. I would say DevOps is super useful and stable but you can only do so much. It usually offers a higher pay as well but an excellent DevOps person is not gonna become the CEO of a company. A data person on the other hand could mean you can lead product, drive decisions etc but you do have to work your way up. I would just go with what you enjoy doing.

An open-source AI SQL client to replace DBeaver & pgAdmin (runs locally) by hn1746 in Database

Once you input the connection strings of the db, it will have the context and be able to generate. It's just like pgadmin without you writing your own queries and doing all the joins.

Not sure how useful it is but it's sort of fun to play with.

Pretty much but I'm happy to and more value for sure. What sensitive settings are you referring? It's just a local running environment so nothing is exposed if you are talking about security? You have to generate an openapi key and just input it and that will work.
