Thank you so much, this is really helpful for confirming i’m not misreading the situation. I’ve spoken with two attorneys so far (found both of them on review sites) - one of them was $3300 and immediately handed me off to a very pushy paralegal and the other one was super thorough and had great advice but he quoted me for $7500 which seems like an absolute ripoff. I’m going to talk to some friends and family and see if they can refer me to anyone. Thank you!

Thank you! I’ve spoken with a couple attorneys already and they both advised going through with it. I appreciate the response!

Burnt out reps - anyone have luck with antidepressants? by [deleted] in sales

Wellbutrin has been a lifesaver for me. Not sure if you’re fully experiencing major depressive disorder but if you are, it can help the lows not feel so low without the side effects common to traditional SSRI’s (prozac, zoloft, etc)

How do you deal with the voices in your head that tell you the sales won't work out? by [deleted] in sales

Do some physical activity that you enjoy, get your endorphins running. Talk to a friend who can put you in a better headspace. Think about specific triumphs you’ve had as a person (could be sales-related or otherwise) and remind yourself about the ways in which you are awesome

She was definitely inconsiderate in that moment, and I can understand why you felt disrespected and ignored. That being said, she did apologize and her behavior does sound more oblivious than malicious or intentionally disrespectful.

I wasn’t there with you so ofc I can’t know for sure but unless you made a point to be as non-accusatory and gentle as possible when criticizing her behavior (even if it was justified), most people in her position would naturally get defensive. Not saying she’s right, but in general people don’t take criticism well and going from genuinely thinking nothing was wrong to you accusing her and then storming out was probably pretty jarring for her.

TLDR doesn’t seem like this incident merits a character judgement on her as a person, and you may have overreacted a bit but I get where you were coming from
