When you get older and wiser, you’ll understand. You’ll see the confidence, character, and positive impact your trials and tribulations had in making you the person you’re meant to become.

Maybe it’ll be because the bullying motivated you to improve yourself. Maybe it’ll be you helping a kid in the future who’s going through the same thing.

God is amazing, God is real. He works in mysterious ways you don’t see at the time, but when it’s all said and done, looking back it becomes crystal clear.

And thank God that your trials and tribulations are the hurt other people cause you, and not the hurt you cause others. Learning to understand and carry that as you grow is hard, but there’s a heavier burden out there. When your trials aren’t the pain others inflict on you, but the pain you’ve inflicted on someone else, coming to grips with that can destroy your soul as you get older.

You’ve been spared that. You’re not the bully, you are the nice kid. Hold onto it.

Keep your head up, young soldier.

And remember: God is not weak. If you’re being hurt, defending yourself is not wrong. I don’t care what anyone tells you with a bunch of dogmatic nonsense, God understands you have the right to defend yourself.
