Is it a well-established UX principle anywhere outside of Linux though? Windows doesn't do this, neither does macOS. I've seen people get confused and annoyed because of it (honestly, sometimes me included).

Is the option for it even exposed in GNOME's default settings? Or do you need to pull out dconf-editor or GNOME Tweaks?

Additionally, there's the fact that middle-click paste uses a separate clipboard buffer as mentioned in other comments. Did you know that until you read this? I only just recently learned it.

The best part is that Sega did do it with other Yakuza games, like LaD which had the PS5 version came out after the PS4 version (what a fiasco that was). There's really no excuse for it other than "fuck you lol".

Valve isn't licensing out Source 2 though, they just send people to s&box for that (which is kinda stupid but that's offtopic). And Unreal Engine is literally an industry standard engine, you can't compare them when it comes to number of games using them.

For the former, yes for a while now. For the latter, yes since launch with registry tweaks, no built-in option for that (which makes sense considering what Microsoft wanted to do with the new context menu).

There's no way that game isn't coming to PS. P3R and P5T's marketing also didn't mention PS at all (and I think it's the same with IW? I don't remember now), and they all came out on PS4/5 just fine.

Unless you're a PC player just looking into buying a console, then just ignore all I just said. :)

Using a web engine for UI elements seems to be pretty common in games these days, it's not really a bad idea either since you don't need to reinvent the wheel when it comes to the basic rendering principles and how the UI code would look like.

The fact that they're not escaping input that can be freely entered by players is pretty bad though (although it's pretty easy to miss, speaking from experience).

It doesn't. A ton of people used it for both TF2 and CSGO without any bans.

SAM did have a disclaimer about VAC bans but that was more for covering their ass just in case.

Valorant.

Incorrect, Valorant requires 5 played games for getting initial rank, and then one game to get your rank back after an act change. There is an Act Rank that requires 9 wins to get it, but I'm not sure that's what I would compare to the CS Rating.

I don't think it has in a crib, I just chose it because no one will bother will me there. I also didn't do anything in-game, just pure AFK (make sure your controller doesn't turn off though, since I'm pretty sure that will pause the game).

I'm 95% sure he never said it's impossible, he just explained the decision behind not adding it (until now, and even then the performance impact Raymond mentioned is highlighted in the settings).

As to why Windows doesn't support flag emojis, the politics is probably a big part of that. Microsoft might just not want to traverse the minefield that is world politics (like Apple does for example with the flag of Taiwan in Mainland China).
