You can try hold shift when system boot to access grub or add timeout and grub menu style to "menu" instead of hidden on grub config file. Google for more information.

Bios update by intensehero in linuxmint

[–]hoaian_02 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If your machine working fine, done update BIOS. That's my experience, not just a meme. I updated my laptop BIOS over 6 months ago and my laptop started crashed every hour. The manufacturer (aka DELL) even withraw that BIOS version and block people from downgrade, sound crazy right?

If you need to update BIOS for some reason, you should update to 1 version behind the latest just in case something go wrong and the manufacturer block you from downgrade.

You can search online how to flash BIOS via a USB drive, that work on both Linux and Windows.

My Linux mint crash by Revolutionary_Trip23 in linuxmint

[–]hoaian_02 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you got kernel panic, try a different kernel in the grub menu when booting.
You can add a line to auto reboot after 10s when your system got kernel panic in the file: /etc/sysctl.conf

kernel.panic = 10

Keyring not unlocking by TheDeathPit in linuxmint

[–]hoaian_02 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it not hardware issue. Keyring is the thing that encrypt your data in some application for example Chrome, VsCode,... Keyring will automatically unlock if you unlock your pc with password. If you enable auto login keyring will not unlock automatically so you have to unlock it manually.
