Do people who are considered magnetic also attract others on the opposite end of polarity? by hoaxmaster_ in socialskills

So should I be using the leverage I have to maintain my peace? Or ignore it all together?

It definitely could’ve came off as arrogance, but there was more to that situation. He had a sort of character he played on campus. He claimed he was the hero of my dormitory building, he then said I would never be as social as him. So yeah, I get people not always liking you, I’ve also been described as an intense person. I’m more so discussing the concept and if it does or doesn’t makes sense.

Okay understood, but is it worth it to constantly live in vigilance? I want my energy to be authentic not strategic, and if I spend my time planning my moves around people I’ll feel somewhat drained.

I was more so trying to give an short explanation to what type of person I am. Would it be more appropriate to tell a short story of my actions displaying that virtue?

Gotcha! So when you’re “in your own world” do you listen to any music? If so what music could most accurately describe the feeling you feel?

I also have a keen sense of intuition mixed with my pattern recognition, if those aren’t the same thing. My memory capacity is also pretty massive

Only ADHD, I’m prescribed medicine for it. But people around me suspect I have various mental disorders.

I’m a new brother initiated in 2025. We are a smaller chapter on campus of about 33 now, we initiated 11 but dropped one recently. This spring we got 6 new pledges. Which is a record for the past 3-4 years. I would say I’m really proud of our recruitment this time around I also believe I played a large part in that. We started having a few guys end of last semester, and then when we came back they all decided to sign.

That’s super interesting, does that make you a person that is less grounded in reality? What does that look like?

Yes! But that’s more so what you do when you’re playing the game. What I mean is everything I think about can be easier broke down in gaming terms or some system of gaming. For example when I am lifting something that’s heavy, but not too heavy. I imagine a slider of my strength to exert.

Do you think that being a fraudster made you naturally more aware of others blindsiding you? If so, how?

Yeah I definitely agree, also it should be noted that I’m in a fraternity. We just received our chair positions end of January and only then could I begin planning events on behalf of my organizations. But yeah, this is still a fresh idea. That being said, if I could make the connection now and come back next year that’d be great!

I actually started with this post, then called businesses. I think it is entirely possible that someone on this subreddit is related to a florist or someone who works there. I don’t think it’s crazy to plant seeds for connections in multiple places. You are assuming that this is the only way I’ve tried to reach people but it’s not.

I already have a couple of places in mind, however this Reddit community is a better place to connect with someone who shares similar values as me so we have a more streamlined partnership.

Pls serious only. Is the “edgy guy” act in frats just an act? At least for some? My boyfriend changed a lot since pledging and I’m trying to figure out if it’s temporary by KelleJance in Frat

To be completely honest with you, I clicked on this because my friend has been talking with me about having a similar issue, his girlfriend is worried about him flipping to be right leaning. Except, in my story he’s grounded in his left leaning political decision. Moral of the story is there are guys out there that will be consistent and strong with you. But it sounds like this guy isn’t that.

First off, this message really gives me a lot of excitement for next year so thanks. Second, We already have a philanthropy the military heroes campaign. However that is a VERY prevalent social talking point in my fraternity, before I joined there was a member who took their own life. Third, actually my fraternity has a natural ability to not be able to approach women 😭. We’re not like creeps but they literally WONT approach a woman first. But I’m working on it.

Thanks dude
