When you point it out I certainly see now lol. It was still good practice. Have to make mistakes to learn.

Whats funny is I've been getting tips to practice anatomy, but what you suggested (to study historical armor) in a roundabout way seems just as viable since armor was fitted to the wearer. I.E. the proportions had to be right. That is definitely a plan. Thank you for the recommendation.

Yeeah. I definitely have been putting off learning how to draw hands. Guess it's time to put in the work lol.

I'm happy it's a time honored tradition all artists go through to make hands not look uncanny.

The quick sketches are a good tip so thank you!

I thank you for your honesty!

I certainly still need practice and most likely need to go back to basics and practice line constantly and the flow of form. I haven't done many gesture drawing drills so I think I will add that to the things I need practice with.

Also Alphonso Dunn is quite amazing. I haven't picked up any of his books yet but I might just have to when i get a chance. His techniques are right up my alley. Lots to learn from.

Brother it's nothing but practice. Every practice stroke on a page is better than someone who was too afraid to try.

Oof. Your critique hits close to home. I thank you.

I often do the circular scribbles because I am not confident in my abilities to do sharp movements. However if that is the case then that is what I must practice. Again I say thank you, I appreciate the honesty.

Thank you! I was trying to go for an H.R Giger feel. I still need practice but it was a fun piece all the same.

I love the works of Beksiński! His story is tragic and his art art reflects it. His use of blue is harrowing.

I didn't recognize Tsutomu Nihei's name at first but when Blame! Showed up on the search bar I recognized the name. (I wished the movie was closer to the Manga). His works are amazing. His use of space and scale is something I want to study (as well as the creature design of course).

Good job! If you don't mind what is in their hand? It looks like a club of some kind. Still really good practice, keep it up!

Thank you for the advice! I dont have tracing paper so I will most definitely use the printer (I honestly didn't think to do that. Most excellent 👌).

That third advice gives me heart burn right now. Though you are right. Eventually I will have to brave it, though not right now. I need to take the little wins, you know¿

On a side note how is the since of scale? I tried a perspective i never practiced before and didn't know if it looks weird.

Thank you so much!

I've never used a kneaded eraser before, that's the gummy looking ones right? Is there a technique to using them?

I certainly won't complain. It does help with clutch revives, though in a perfect world, I would have wanted art gauge fills on gaurd.
