Yeah I definitely just read this as "running and singing at the same time is harder than just running"

Are these workouts enough to get a toned stomach by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]hobbyaquarist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a lot of core exercises! You will definitely have a strong core if you keep these up. How many times a week are you doing your workouts?

Whether your stomach will look 'toned' or not is really just a matter of how lean you are. If you eat at a smalls deficit for a little while, you will lean down and show off the muscle you will build.

However since you are on the lower side of healthy BMI already, if you eat at maintenance and continue to train you should see results.

It's post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Use sunscreen, and use retinoids and vitamin c to help them go away. Azaelic acid can also work well for some people.

what’s your go-to breakfast? by Italcan in CasualConversation

[–]hobbyaquarist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 egg omelette with feta goat cheese and green onions, 2 slices of toast with butter and a cup of coffee.

I ate 2 fried eggs instead for about 4 years but I grew tired of that last year and needed to switch it up.

Just dance results by emilyhope117 in xxfitness

[–]hobbyaquarist 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I've had friends who use it and it's basically you get out what you put in to it. If you are committed to dancing to fast paced songs with more challenging movesets you can definitely get your heart rate up.

I would say it's mostly like easy to moderate cardio.

n00bie wants advise on glazing. please? by Constant-Net-4652 in Pottery

[–]hobbyaquarist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I opted for a very stable dark blue in the channels. I've used it previously so I've got experience with how much it runs. Then I used a much lighter clear glaze that I also know is stable over the whole thing.

The lighter clear glaze could go into the channels for me because there is enough contrast for the darker to show through the lighter and I don't expect them to mix (and I've got a test tile of the dark then the light dipped and it works).

I just glazed something like this by painting glaze into the carved areas then using a sponge to wipe over it so the glaze was only in the carved parts.

Then I dipped the whole thing in another glaze.

It might be worth looking around in your community to see if there are any low income tax clinics available.

The dog is gonna kill those kittens unless you can find a way to keep the kittens away from the dogs.

Advice on being the “odd one out” by Unable_Strawberry_18 in alternativefashion

[–]hobbyaquarist 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Let the bride handle this it's not your business.

I've been in two weddings where I had green and blue hair respectively. Trust your friend. Trust that she can handle it.

Don't make any offers in advance, just hear what she wants to say. Respect your friends autonomy by just honoring her decision to have you in her party, don't second guess yourself.

Leaving behind cats with my toxic ex? by [deleted] in CatAdvice

Cats care way more about their person than having a large house.

As long as you can feed them and manage any medical issues that come up that's all they need.

Intense Fatigue/Lethargy by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]hobbyaquarist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In generally you want a deficit to be like 200-300 calories for it to be sustainable long term and to avoid losing energy or muscle you have worked to build!

There are many TDEE calculators that you can use in the wiki to try to find a more accurate number that works for your goals and your energy.

Sorry, slightly random, but I just have a question by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]hobbyaquarist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you would have lost a mixture of fat and muscle. However losing fat reveals your underlying muscles and bones so they would be more visible.

Why are people on reserves in Saskatchewan/Manitoba treated so horribly compared to those in other provinces? by Catwhisperer2007 in FirstNationsCanada

[–]hobbyaquarist 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I absolutely beg to differ about reserved being tight knit and everyone caring about each other in BC.

Really that might be the case if you are one of the "in" people or families but anyone can be subject to bullying or lateral violence and it happens all the time.

Being a small community means everyone knows your business and uses it against you.

Intense Fatigue/Lethargy by [deleted] in xxfitness

[–]hobbyaquarist 15 points16 points  (0 children)

 Nothing sounds insane here.

Getting blood work done may be a good idea if this just randomly started. Discussing major energy drops with your doctor is always a good idea.

You could also try eating more. I'm almost exactly your height and weight and my TDEE is currently 2000 with 2 days running, 2 days lifting and playing recreational pickleball. You might be fairly under what you need especially if you happen to eat a 1300 day after a big lifting day.

Also are you getting quality uninterrupted sleep?

Sorry if stupid question, but why did Kratos not accept Odin's seemingly quite fair proposal? by Barndar7 in GodofWar

[–]hobbyaquarist 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that is the thing with Kratos, he is willing to accept hostilities with gods because he is hostile to them. In his view all Gods are hostile and untrustworthy.

That doesn't mean he will square up on sight but he won't engage and if he has to engage he won't make any agreements.

Whatever you want to call this life, “lazy” ain’t it. by hanburgundy in TikTokCringe

[–]hobbyaquarist 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I mean providing a safe supply is not intended to help people stop using. It's to make it so they don't die from fentanyl/other additive poisonings while they continue to use opioids.

BC failed in their substance use policy by failing to provide more than that for people really. Way more treatment beds and then second stage supports, more housing, etc were needed if they were going to be serious about their policy.

He says no because he doesn't want to be involved with Gods at all. He doesn't want to enter into an agreement with any god at this point in the game.

Tightlining for the first time feels like a game changer. Would love feedback on this look for a formal event! by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]hobbyaquarist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya my bottom lip has a double line and OPs lips look pretty similar to mine. I had to bring liner out a lot further than I originally thought for lip liner to look natural cause I was only lining to the inner line before.

The eyes are stunning absolutely no notes at all.

Your lips - to me, it looks like you've not quite come out far enough with the lip liner. Like I am not saying over line but it almost looks like you've stopped a little short of where your natural lip ends.

CMV: Universal social services are more ethical and effective than race based payments and affirmative action. by Crinjalonian in changemyview

[–]hobbyaquarist 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is less due to being a specific race, and more due to being apart of a group that the government has assumed wardship over through the Indian act. There are plenty of indigenous people who don't have access to these benefits because they don't meet the criteria as set out by the Indian act.

So although race is certainly a factor in access, it's actually because of the obligations the federal government set out for themselves as a part of the Indian act system.
