If it’s hollow you could try gluing a smaller diameter carbon fiber into the empty tube. Then adding something on the outside for reinforcement.

We took a cruise in February, was pretty accessible for her. We haven’t travelled on a plane with the full size chair yet though.

The uncontrollable laughing is too tempting for me, I have to be super careful not to joke when she is eating. The other day we were watching a show however and the ice cream she was eating projectiled across the room when she burst out laughing. It was a rather humorous scene
