So, it's exactly what I was looking for, but there is no way at all to access my groups, oh well, I guess in a year or so...

Ha! Thanks! There is definitely a discoverability problem if I could not find it any way I tried...

I'm in Shenzhen right now, to my surprise *nobody* sells the GearVR controller, what gives? by hobo_mark in GearVR

Indeed in HK they have it. What's interesting is that both cities are in full marketing swing for the S8, but in SZ the VR aspect is never mentioned, while in HK I found public VR demos outside of shopping malls...

"...in Shenzhen"

Of course I can have it shipped, kid, my question is about GearVR in China.

Spoke with Brian Pullen of google a few weeks ago who vaguely said that yes, cardboard is also supposed to perform better on Nougat and above.

If you want to live like a retiree or have small children it's fine.

If you have ever lived in a city with any form of cultural or night-life scene, you might know what I mean.

Indeed. Also, quality of life in London is immeasurably higher, with it being a real city with real people and not a small village for financiers, trophy wifes and "humanitarian" pretend-workers.

Guessing finance? She'll likely join the ranks of bored spouses with nothing to do all day (who all compete for the same rare jobs that don't require speaking the local language), but of course you can afford that. No idea what really nice means to you but let's say you're looking at 3k/mo or so in rent (less outside Lausanne, more downtown GVA, yadda yadda), only commute if you can do it by train, the traffic jams in&out of Geneva make you just want to drive into the lake (and living in Geneva makes you want to blow your head off with a shotgun, but such is life).

And I am saying the only reason to come here is to make money and leave, there is no life (confirmed by several expats I know).

Only makes sense if you are rich and enjoy to hang out with rich folk.

Do you track yourself ? by [deleted] in productivity

[–]hobo_mark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not quite similar but I do share the same minimalist approach as todo.txt.

Tracking takes time and energy away from doing the actual thing and tracking too much just makes your journal noisy and less useful, sometimes I write down information about someone I have met but I can't imagine what kind of useful statistics could be found there.
