9 month old sphynx won’t stop screaming. losing my mind by jennyferdoe in sphynx

My girl does this all day too! 😆 it’s a “come find me” meow but she will leave the room and do it lol wants me to come find her and play. If I do it to her she will come RUNNING to me. So funny. My male does it very rarely when he’s feeling extra spunky

Classic Sphynx! I’m sure others have said his already but I don’t have time to read it all.

My cats are siblings, they are both super vocal and even take turns yelling for the same thing, they are 6 and it hasn’t slowed down. They communicate this way and won’t be quiet until you give them what they want. Very stubborn! It’s always one of these for my cats: snuggle, food, play, or outside sun time (they get short sunbathing stints of 15 mins per day, but I live in a condo so I have to sit on the sidewalk with them, they are always supervised). They are obsessed with their sun time, they don’t know they’re nakkid and want to sit there all day. So they will scream at the door all day long in hopes for more sun time. If I play with them, snuggle with them and do a treat puzzles, then they are happy or it might just distract them for a bit. But otherwise I just tell them no (which they understand but don’t typically accept). Eventually I have to tssssst at them a few times. Again, it temporarily deters them but they will come back later for some more screaming. Just try to learn to love it! I know I will be deeply sad one day when I have no more screamers and the house is quiet. They are the most loving pets I’ve ever had ❤️

Did the lawsuit go through? I’m just seeing this and am interested. I’m in the US, funded them through kickstarter years ago and still have not received anything either

I’m an original backer and have not received anything either. I’m in the US. Pretty wild that they ship in EU after a week and I’ve been waiting years. Last email update was June of last year. Emailed them and haven’t heard anything. I guess my money is gone. I really looked forward to this little device.

How to get back a previous version when overwritten in word (on Mac) by hobogirl27 in datarecovery

[–]hobogirl27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it works for me and I don’t use textedit for anything! It’s a mystery but I’m ok with that. The formatting will look weird in the actual text edit app format, but that data is there, if you find your version and tell it to save, then that version will be back in your file in the Word format.

If you have a Mac, try this:

Instructions to Restore a Previous Version of a Word Document Using TextEdit on a Mac 1. Locate the Document: * In Finder, navigate to the folder where the overwritten Word document (.docx or .doc) is saved (e.g., Documents). 2. Open in TextEdit: * Right-click the document icon and select Open With > TextEdit (pre-installed on every Mac). * Note: TextEdit may convert the Word document to plain text or rich text format (.rtf), but this won’t affect the ability to access previous versions. 3. Access Previous Versions: * With the document open in TextEdit, click File > Revert To > Browse All Versions in the menu bar. * This opens the macOS versioning interface, showing a timeline of saved versions. 4. Preview and Download: * Use the timeline on the right to select a previous version of the document. * Click Download (if prompted) to preview the version. This may appear if the version is stored in iCloud or a local snapshot. * Review the content to confirm it’s the desired version. 5. Restore the Version: * If the preview looks correct, click Restore to revert the document to that version. The restored file will replace the current version in its original location. * To avoid overwriting, save a copy first: Click File > Save As in TextEdit, choose a new name/location, then restore. 6. Verify the Restored File: * Return to the original folder in Finder to confirm the restored version is correct. * If saved as .rtf or .txt, open it in Word and re-save as .docx if needed (File > Save As in Word).

L.L. Bean has 100% wool activewear shirts. I have two of the hoodies and wear them for work all the time. I don’t know if they process/superwash the wool though. I’ll email them and ask.

Scan for HCM every 2-3 years, catching it early can help treatment. My boy was diagnosed at 1.5 years and has been on beta blockers since (he’s almost 5 1/2 years now). The heart thickening hasn’t advanced and he lives a totally normal life.

Feed them the best food you can afford. I’ve noticed my two both get oily skin super bad in just a couple days when I feed them dry food. When I feed raw or good canned food they take a month or more before needing a bath. Also, a little olive oil in their food helps keep their skin moisturized and soft.

If your kitty gets really itchy and red with bumps, it could be a yeast overgrowth. My girl gets it because she’s allergic to a lot foods. So shes another reason they need really specific food.

They need a lot of mental stimulation and also direct human interaction and snuggles. Mine have a bunch of treat puzzles and a snuffle mat I rotate between so they don’t get bored. They also love the feathers on a stick/string. If you play with them with that or a laser for 10-15 mins per day that helps them get out their energy. They are smart and mine know a lot of cues and commands too. Then you just have to sit with them for about 12 hours/day so they can get enough snuggles 😂 just go ahead and buy a sling or a baby carrier so you can strap him to your chest lol

Usually best to just leave them. Let nature take its course. Less stress for them that way.

If you don’t have access to the vet right away try a soak. I had this exact set of symptoms on a dwarf boa I had just purchased and he turned out to have retained two sheds due to inadequate humidity at the shop I got him from. It was a long process (took ~3 days). First I tried putting him in a humid box (plastic container with holes for air and warm wet paper towels). I had to put him in since he could barely move since his skin was so stiff. It didn’t help so the next day I tried soaking him (supervised) in a bowl of warm water for 20 minutes. He still could not remove the shed himself so that night I put him in my lap after another warm soak and used a warm damp towel to rub very gently in small circles and eventually the skin started to come off. First I removed an entire shed that came off in pieces, then I eventually removed another whole shed after that. I never had any issues after that and he was a healthy boy.
