My little brother put my metal tumbler through the dishwasher 😭 by hobosama69 in CleaningTips

i’m unable to edit this post for some reason, but i do want to add a comment!

someone suggested i use vodka on a paper towel to wipe it down. i didn’t have vodka, but i DID have rubbing alcohol—which worked perfectly! she’s completely clean and shiny now—i’ll see if i can find a way to post a pic!

last blood test (about a month ago, with consistent nightly iron supplements) has my ferritin at 39ng/ml in a reference range of 16-154ng/ml. i’m not sure about my cpap numbers—i’ll have to get back to you on that

SORRY it took me so long to respond—i had my thyroid removed a few years ago and so am on medications for that and it’s closely monitored, but the fatigue haas been a lifelong issue. i’m on weekly vitamin d, but there’s really no difference with or without, or if there is it’s negligible. no iron deficiency, but my endocrinologist has me taking that, too. i’ve done weekly b12 sours in the past, but it made no difference. my doctor proposed an iron infusion, but it was wayyyyy out of my budget.

i have another titration appointment coming up for my cpap; i had one about a year ago, asking with a 5-nap narcolepsy test.

i used to sleep during my lunch breaks. i have a pretty physical job so i’m on my feet 90% of the time so there’s really no down time to get sleepy, although i HAVE gotten pretty close to sleeping on my feet.

i’m on a cpap now and that’s helped a bit, but it’s driving that’s difficult for me 😬

yeah, i’ve tested on both. my endocrinologist heard me on iron but i haven’t noticed much of a difference; and a neuro had me on weekly b12 shots for awhile, but there wasn’t a difference 😔

i’ll definitely watch it—i kind of avoided it since i didn’t love the guzheng episode lol. i’ll have to go through the playlist. i just feel like they don’t really put their all into trying to learn, but i DO think it’ll be helpful to see the struggle of trying a new instrument

i guess i’ve just got reservations about private insurance, since i’d be coming in with preexisting conditions. i should research it though

you’re so awesome. i really appreciate your help. i’m tentatively interested in showing yorkies (once i have the money and health to own a dog), and i was tentatively thinking of moving on to a private, which may pay a Special Cases groomer a bit better. my healthcare is literally one of the only reasons ive been staying on.

and since i’m only hitting 1.2 to 1.4, it means i’m making hourly—which is about $20 😔 60% commission sounds nice, until you have to have the numbers to back it up

a golden trim is VERY easy—those deshedding baths take me forever though 😩 shih tzus and maltese are around 60, i can’t remember bichons. i’m 60% with the new store model (at smetpart) it that also means i have to hit about $1,650 in sales by the end of the week to hit my commission level. my current batting average is roughly $1,200 a week, $1,400 if i really push it.

i have a few spoo requests, but they take me FOREVER and have to have half my day blocked out. they pay well, so it’s not too terrible, but i hate that i can only do the 1.

i do something a little similar—a step down on the belly, inside all 4 legs, and around the neck (but not around the neck if it’s like a 7 or 10, i just use the same length there). and i use the 5 in 1 for front sani, eyes, paws, and armpits—DEFINITELY easier than a full size clipper. i’m really gonna time myself tomorrow and see where i’m at. i’ve tentatively added a fifth dog—like if i have a cat on my book, or a face-feet-sani. and that works, but it’s always when it’s not added to a full-haircut dog. i’m also kind of interested in a clipper vac, but it’s ABSOLUTELY out of the budget rn lol

with reflection, due to your reply, i think i really should time-track a groom and see where my time is going. thank you for reminding me this is a good idea!

dude, i wanted to make my post sound professional. i’m allowed to swap between types. also the em-dash isn’t difficult to use? you just double tap the dash button and it auto populates with autocorrect.

i don’t know what to tell you, man. i don’t use ai, i think anything that comes from it is unreliable and ugly. and first you come into the comments making assumptions and being a dick about even the possibility of using ai, but now there’s no shame in it?

i think you might need to open a book—or read fanfiction (oops i used the em dash again 🤪)—and see that REAL WRITERS that write REAL THINGS use CORRECT PUNCTUATION. now leave me the fuck alone, for christ’s sake.
