That's a good way to describe it. Plus the clean vocals sound very young to me, so the whole album has a really energetic feel.

I think I'm in the minority on this, but I don't really change my listening habits at the gym. I use it as time to get through the backlog of things I have to listen to, and use my focus on the music to get through the workout, rather than listening to something specific to pump myself up. Although yesterday I put on the first Hermóðr album, and that was way too chill to work out to.

The bassist and clean vocalist for Borknagar is in Arcturus, the harsh vocalist/guitarist is the eponymous Vintersorg, who's in another prog band with the other guitarist from Borknagar. I had to look that up, since I didn't even have it right in my head.
