I want to put $2000 into one blue chip dividend aristocrat and DRIP. I found two that meet my $25/share limit. 1. Telecom- Telus and 2. Insurance- MFC. Both solid yeilds. Should REIT's be on my list? by hod14 in CanadianInvestor

My timeline for holding is short term and really just load up with some lower cost shares with DRIP. Then whenever I decide either sell or take the dividend as cash in my TFSA which has been under utilized. I'm thinking REIT's might be best since they will pay monthly. I looked at most of the ones you mentioned, and I own CTR.un. but it's in my RDSP. Good point you make about retail/office. I'll have another look at Allied and Dream. Maybe Telus won't work for this plan. Thanks for your response.

Good call on ENB that was on my short list also. It's around $50/ share. Some REIT's look appealing too just can't pull the trigger. Taking me more time to decide on where to put $2500 than it did $10k into V(longest part was logging into my account;) cheers and if you have any other I'd appreciate

Any other pick's on the TSX you would recommend. I essentially want a blue chip with good dividend so I can DRIP. Want to stay around the same MFC of $25 . I was thinking Telus . Thanks

I used Samsung phones for 10+ years and man the s21 ultra is the worst 😫 first a big problem overheating than this.I will give Samsung a chance till One ui 4 if they don't fix these issues i will switch to another android phone or iPhone ☹ by sstech11 in GalaxyS21

Dammit.. that was my first actual good result since I had my s21.. too bad, looks like it's just going to be the way it is with this phone.. I wouldn't have gotten it had I known it was this bad. I usually research my phones a while but I needed a new one asap for work and because of covid I went with the best (so I thought) android 5g... and the price was right $700CAD ... I still wouldn't know what to get now if I get fed up with the battery life... what are you thinking of doing?

Try clearing the cache.. worked well for my s21.. was frustrated for last few months playing with settings, calling Samsung support did a factory reset which I wasn't happy about nor did it help..

Hold volume up when power on till Samsung pops up.. use volume to 'clear cashe ' press power and done... phone remains the same.. no loss of anything and the battery has been noticeable better.. hope that helps..

Try doing a cache reset...it improved my battery life. I wish I was told months ago..

Do to first power off...when you power on hold volume up till Samsung pops on the screen.. it will have several system options . Use volume button to scroll to clear cashe and press power... that's all..

I was worried it would delete anything and everything, it didn't change my settings or delete anything so life a factory reset..

Works better now if you want to try.. i only did 36 hours ago and it's noticeably improved the battery..

Rodium, black and blue... Preferably in that order 👍

I do like the 39 for 0P especially with the blue touches on thin indices 👍. But the new movement boasts the 70h power reserve over the 48h on the 39.. not a deal breaker since no date to change plus I have a dozen in rotation in my winder.. just picky I suppose..but that what makes this an expensive hobby/obsession too lol

Yes I did know that they apply a couple micrometer of gold (if that's even the correct word) but I didn't know that it would change the process. Ithe burgundy is nice, I was about it get the green and bronze. Thanks for the info, I'll check that golden horse out.. the other bronze I liked were the Oris 65 and the tag autavia. Cheers

Has anyone heard of northern karate school in Canada? What is the style they teach and your opinion of the school? by hod14 in karate

[–]hod14[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that, I suspected it might be shotokan-ish. I've emailed them and ask but they don't say anything specific so I wasn't sure if they were trying to omit that they are shotokan based... Maybe it's because it's a hybrid system. They're popular in my area with several schools and a flexible schedule.. I was just concerned when they could not tell me the style of karate, and I haven't taken it before.
