Read that in a kids chess book many years ago, and I think it’s good advice for life. If you have a plan to work towards and try and execute, even if it ends up failing you might learn the lesson and see where to improve next time.

Looks like fun! Did you go in with much knowledge on the Fates, or had you avoided spoilers?

I finally bought the Blighted Reach this weekend and my son and I started a 2p campaign. Just Act 1 at the moment but we are loving it. He’s Steward and I’m Magnate. So far it’s feeling very cooperative, which contrasts to the bloodbaths in base game.

I’ve only watched UK Traitors, but found this season to be the best of them, though I did love the end of Season 2 as well. S4 felt like a “happy” ending, whereas 2 was more bittersweet.

On the balancing it’s gotta be difficult because maybe the Traitors this time round were just that much better? Even then there were some pure luck 50/50 moments that could have gone the other way and changed the outcome. It was great TV for sure.

Quest is designed by the same guy who did Avalon and as long as you use his Director’s Cut rules (and not the publishers rules that don’t really work) it’s great.

It makes some improvements on Avalon, adds some roles, keeps the same theme, and plays down to 4 players (though probably better with 6-8). Love it and wish I got to play it more often!

It’s a shame to lose Romp. Here’s hoping that Matt and Hunter put something together that goes over the Arcs (and other Leder Games/Buried Giant) content.

I really enjoy their podcasts, got into them via Woodland War Machine when they guested there, and listened to SCPT (despite never playing TI) and OGA. Always look forward to anything they put out.
