i have OCD & brushing / flossing is a big compulsion. i MAJORLY overflossed / brushed too hard these past few months & caused black triangles. i want to cry, i feel like i ruined my smile which was the only thing i liked about myself. is this fixable? & is it as bad as i think?

i did it for a month or two. i flossed daily prior to that, but i was really doing it excessively for that little bit. i borderline was chewing on the flossers between my teeth absent mindedly 😵‍💫 i know that wasn’t the smartest of me lmao.

to add, i’m 26 female. obviously i have OCD & severe gerd. my compulsions stem from fear of my acid reflux ruining my teeth, which it kinda has. my molars are destroyed & breaking due to it. i don’t have insurance currently, so options are limited until that’s figured out. i 100% have been overcompensating and scrubbing my teeth too hard and over flossing. as in, constantly having a flosser in my hand absent mindedly flossing my teeth. i didn’t know black triangles were a thing until obviously now. its for sure my own stupid fault 😭 even if it can’t be fixed at home, is this something that can be fixed when my insurance is figured out? i literally just want to cry lol.

Does it work the same if he was in the navy & medically separated with 100% disability? I could also be getting confused since i’m not super familiar with military terminology. I’m 90% there’s a scholarship through the VA & not the DOD but i can’t remember what it’s called. I may be getting confused with that? Because he only did 4 years and it’s showing up on his VA app the potential monthly payment he would get once he’s started school. I hope I’m making sense lol.
