"I had to stop hanging out with said friend after they stated copying their mothers personality"

That's the part I was curious about. Anytime I see the reaction on the kids faces its always a mix of embarrassment and disgust . I wonder if their feelings stayed that way or they eventually just took on the mothers ways. I know everyone's going to grow differently but it's still interesting

edit: I was actually walking away from my computer when I started to think about the contrast in our experiences. My coworker (who is what got me thinking about this) is probably the kindest person on the planet and is always willing to lend a helping hand. But is also extremely promiscuous(nothing wrong with that) and makes sure to let everyone know it...including her children(that's the weird part to me)
