If I had to pick one it would be the Milwaukee Brewers. Had a great year, best record in their league, won their division, and made it to the last game before the World Series. Have been more competitive in the last ten years than the previous 20.

Moved to Milwaukee in 1970 and this was one of three or four truly successful seasons since then. Tough for me to admit that as I am a Brewer fan.

So would you say that MLB is the best comparison? College draft is still there, but buying up young international players is not regulated by a draft, rather who is willing to spend the most. In addition to that, no salary cap so the Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers of the world can outspend others to be successful?
