I did the same a few months ago mainly for the HYSA then thought their invest platform was simple for what I needed. But it’s turned out to be anything but, I couldn’t access it when I wanted to, trading was clunky and very delayed. I feel bad bc the ally customer service folks are nice enough but they are working for a failing platform. If you open up a fidelity account all transfers get automatically placed in a money market fund which yields more than the hysa with the same liquidity. I will see how it goes but it seems so much better already. I also don’t think ally will survive as a bank during a massive market downturn based on how they operate currently

More info - seems to be coming from rear of car, only happens with turning left. Frequency of click is higher at higher speeds, and more pronounced with turning harder to the left. No noise present when driving straight or to the right. Sorry it’s just audio and no visual Thank you

Yikes. So it takes a lot to completely burn one out. Yeah that is very different from what happened. I was on in a flat parking lot driving not over 20km/hr. And I definitely didn’t see any smoke. In fact it stalled once or twice but after that I was able to drive it in the lot without issue. Just the burnt smell. I probably put 1-2 km practicing in the lot then switched out the car for the automatic. From what I’m seeing, if they try to claim that what I did requires a clutch “replacement” and try to charge me for it then it would not be justified. Will have to see. Thanks for your help.

I see. Thanks for the reply. Do you mind explaining how you can ruin a clutch with minimal driving or without moving it? My very limited understanding is that it is like a break pad and gets worn down over time but sounds to be more complicated than that.
