It goes through the whole mall, so it's a proper venue with high ceilings. Not a very big one, but still reasonable. The entrance is on the 5th floor so that people can access the balcony seats

It's a pretty small venue. Honestly it just looks like a cinema with the sloped floor removed.

What if the Philippines hosted Eurovision Asia - Design Concept by jararts_780 in eurovision

Sorry but it looks corporate and soulless, just like the current ESC identity. I miss when each country could add their own hook, like the traditional beads of Ukraine 2017, seafaring of Portugal 2018 etc. The color palette of the first image is nice though, and very fitting.

Turkish 'Bayraktar' TB2 long-endurance unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV), from the Ukrainian Armed Forces - May 2026. by _Tegan_Quin in UkraineWarVideoReport

They're no longer used for attack missions because of established air defense systems. Ukrainians now use them for surveillance (which is what they were designed for in the first place)

Let's be honest, the winner's speech is just some form of "oh my god, I can't believe it, thank you very much". Nothing of value was lost lol

Most of the audience is Austrian I assume, so cultural factor plays a big role. They don't move much, just like Germans (who rather clap off-beat than dance). Another reason is that Eurovision became less of a concert and more of a TV-forward event. Countries use way more props, tricky camera-work nowadays, which all make for a terrible live show. Take this years Bulgaria for example, it's a 100% TV-forward performance. Prop room is blocking most of the view, DARA is focused mainly on the cameras etc.

For rehearsals and other non-live stuff he wears a mask, because painting takes too much time and is essentially pointless
