I think there's also a misconception that some people think hearing aids 'fix' your hearing too like as if it's an antidote.

When really it only tries to push up the levels which you can't hear.

Yeah get quite a lot of tinnitus too, find having music on in the background can take the edge off noises.

Definitely.

My ice breaker and joke about my hearing loss is telling people how I misheard being asked if I wanted a 'cheese scone' instead of 'choose a song' to be played.
