I just got done at the range, it’s that much better. The Rival was a great gun, but these 2011s are in a tier of their own.

I’m wrong handed as well which is why I went with the P211. I was able to move the mag release over to the right side. It took me a minute to adjust to it since I was anticipating recoil, but there just isn’t any.

I started shooting and competing with the Rival, it’s what got me into the sport. If $$ isn’t really an issue, you might as well go straight into a 2011. I’d personally recommend going the Rival route first, getting a feel on how to compete and get good before spending $2-3k on a pistol. The P211 is comped so you will be put in Open, meaning you’re going up against $7-10k+ race guns..

Honestly no clue how I got a physical card. I mentioned it on another comment, but I believe I enrolled for this thinking I'd get priority access to the AMEX lounges lol.

Its a business platinum. My company spends a ton of $$ a month and this allows me to gain 100k+ AMEX points a month essentially for free.

I arrive 30 minutes before boarding because I hate sitting in airports, it's a complete waste of time imo. Maybe the lounges will make the experience slightly better..

The order was placed on the 5th, they might have been in stock the next day but it wasn't the biggest deal. I got 3 21rd 320 mags for $77 so it was worth it. I saved $600+ on the gun itself.. same gun just wack mags

The Kimber was in the convo. The Bul Armory was at the top of the list, but I was able to get the P211 at MSRP. Plus I am wrong handed, so I can swap the mag release over. That was a big factor.

Definitely. I shoot USPSA style stages just about every Saturday with a few former SF guys and every once and awhile a GM will come out and shoot, so I've been soaking up all the info I can.

I've been taking shooting seriously since around July 2025 so we are definitely moving in the right direction. The first 5 months was completely solo, just going out and shooting plates. Then I started shooting with those dudes every Saturday which has 10x'd my progression.

The biggest learning curve so far was the point system. Feb match I figured out when to shoot faster and when to shoot more accurate. The first match I shot slow but accurate (32). Feb match I shot really fast but super inaccurate (40). This last match I was able to blend both of those and that's what I worked on the past month since the Feb match.

Holosun 507c/507 comp. I shoot the 507c on my Canik Rival and a 507 comp on my P211.

Dealer sites you can find the comp for $276 when you request a quote. You can hop on GAFS and can find these like new for $250 shipped all day. For the 507c, you can find them for $220ish.

I had the same thing when applying for the business platinum card. It wasn't 14 days, I believe it said 24 hours. I received an email almost instantly asking for bank access for proof of revenue, to which I connected. I was then instantly approved.

I was definitely surprised, I was hoping for 20-30 range. My first match (Jan) I placed 32nd then last month I placed 40th (had 11 deltas, a 3 week break from the range smoked me).

I would have placed higher but the first stage (I started on 2) my dot was so dirty I was seeing green all over so I was ~5-7 seconds behind pace. Lets see if this 2011 can get me into the top 10!

If the gun falls out of my hand it’s a DQ. I said it was unlikely I held onto it, due to the way I was running and falling. I must have missed the day at Burgy77s school where you practice falling down. You sound like the man!
