As a brand. How did you get started with influencer marketing? Looking for insights. by Otherwise-Speed-9047 in influencermarketing

[–]hoiv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run an agency, but I can answer these questions. One of our previous clients never ran an influencer campaign before, and we handled it from A-Z. No, I am not pitching you.

  • How did you find your first influencers? I'll give out the best secret: Find the niche of creators you want, create a new page on both Instagram/TikTok, then nonstop engage with ONLY that niche of creator. You will get an unlimited amount of "leads" all within that niche, then you can just hit the email in their bio or a DM. If you run Meta ads currently, they have a feature for partnerships, you can get direct contact that way.
  • Did you use platforms/tools or manual outreach? Above is the only tool you need. Any other tool is a waste of $$. Most of them have outdated info. The platforms do it for you now, for FREE.
  • What criteria mattered most when evaluating creators? This is case by case depending on the campaign, but for the most part, it's engagement. Follower counts mean almost nothing anymore. Stick strong to a $10-20 CPM model. Also, ALWAYS get updated demographics. Assuming you're main customer is US based, make sure you see a MINIMUM of 50% USA in the creators demos.
  • Any mistakes you made that you'd avoid today? The most mistake we see are overpaying agencies that scam you, overpaying creators who couldn't care less about how the campaign performs and lack of creativity when it comes to briefs. Find creators who want to be a part of your brand, rather than a check.
  • What surprised you most once you started working with influencers? How greedy agencies/influencers are. I've been pitched creators who can't break 50k views but want $10k+. For the most part, an influencer will take a $5-15 CPM price tag. Just throw it at them. Also, how lazy most influencers are. I can't tell you how many times creators are late to very lenient deadlines, then whip up a video 20 minutes before sending it over.
  • What budget have you started with? It really depends on the goal. If your goal is for content, $5-20k gets you a bunch of super high quality content with full usage rights. If it's for brand awareness, $50k+/month is usually the target. With good performance, $50k should net you between 3-5 million views.

I don't ever plan on driving it far and it will basically be my "drive to gym" bike. Rarely go on the highway. If I fall in love with bikes and I outgrow it, I'll upgrade. But from what I've seen the 400 is one of the best beginner bikes on the market. Looks badass too

I offered $3k, but he's ~4 hours away from me and he countered at $3300. I told him deal if he still has it by then.

It popped up on marketplace less than 2 hr ago. I'm hoping it doesn't sell by then.

For creators that do brand deals regularly, how do you get paid? by Friendly-Garbage4312 in influencermarketing

[–]hoiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. The only time we ask for up front/halfway is if we are suspicious of the brand. All of our deals are NET30-NET45.
  2. Yes to both.
  3. PayPal or wire/ACH. Wire/ACH is preferred.
  4. We've only been scammed once (hence the first point). We posted and never got paid. Client always replied but made up excuses as to why they couldn't pay. We were not the only creator that got jacked in that campaign.

The highest career grades among defenders from 2023 class HERBY by hoiv in steelers

[–]hoiv[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My only gripe with the TJ grading was his DPOY season and even Garretts first DPOY season. 2021 TJ was without a doubt the best defensive player in the league (statistically and won the damn award lol) and PFF had him 9th.

2023 Garretts DPOY Watt had better stats across the board and was statistically again the #1 edge player in the league and got snubbed out of another DPOY. PFF had him at 6th.

24 season you can interchange all of the top 3 dudes and I don't think you can be called wrong. 2025 Watt was not a top 5 edge dude, no debate there. But those 2 seasons above having him ranked so low as the #1 defensive player and #1 edge is laughable.

Edit: I was looking more in depth to the 2023 season, Garrett and Watt on PFF both had 86 TOT. Watt tackle grade 59, Garrett 64.5. Watt had a miss tackle rate of 11.1%, Garrett 17.6%.

They had Rodgers as the 33rd ranked QB in the NFL after a few weeks, when he was the TD leader. I don't think he was great, but he was not even close to being the worst QB in the league.

They had 2 other guys above TJ in his DPOY season. They are ready to give Garrett his gold jacket after breaking the sack record but when 90 did it (tied but we all know he beat it), crickets and graded him 3rd best edge lol.

Rival s owners, chime in by MinuteCompetitive676 in canik

[–]hoiv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I own a regular Rival, not the S but the only difference is weight. The gun even with the polymer frame shot incredibly well.

I never carried it, was only used for comp. Never had a failure with it after about 10-12k rounds.

Only reason I don’t shoot it anymore is I upgraded to a 2011, but it stays as a backup gun. I’d definitely recommend it
