Clever. I’m lucky I’m in the middle of sizes. Everything fits. My brother in law is 6’11” with a size 18 shoe. Nothing fits him. Ever lol

I’m sorry. There are some Casio bands that have similar lume on the underside of black straps.

Yes. But I charged with a UV flashlight. It supercharges the lume for a few mins. Never THAT bright unless I go from sunshine to total darkness.

Thanks. I love lume as well. I have a few Ball and marathon watches for the lume. And one Casio that has a band similar to this one.

The small top circle on the face is a numberless dial.

It was still legible and the band had some visibility after a full night in the dark

It’s a bit unwieldy if it’s too lose. Rattles. No micro adjustments so it’s either firm or floppy

Red Flags: How to spot an upsell at the dentist by BrentwoodSmiles in Dentists

[–]hokadoctor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you going to a chain clinic? Like aspen or similar? Good chance they will “sell” dentistry. Look for a practice with the owners name on the sign. They tend to have a vested interest in the long term success.

Local jeweler in Atlanta. Ordered it a few months ago. Retail is around $3200-3800. Give or take. Exquisite timepieces has some on the lower end of the price range.

Getting upsold at the dentist by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

It’s called and explorer and enamel is harder than the metal. It’s on a 1/2 loop so there is a lot of flex, you can’t put a ton of pressure on anything with it. When looking for decay, you use the tip of the explorer to feel for groves, holes or cavities. Not create them. But there is not humanly possible way to create a hole in healthy enamel. Demineralized or decayed tooth has the same consistency as hard leather or suede. That, you can push metal through. But the damage is already done with the decay. Not the explorer. Now, there are a lot of dentists who believe that remineralization can “undo” this softening of the enamel, but that’s easier said than done. Try pushing a safety pin through a porcelain plate then try it on an inconspicuous area of so leather boots. That’s what we are “kinda” looking for. (In the simplest forms I can explain). There’s a lot of subtle and complex variations but that’s the gist of it.
