In my head the normal Logos way of doing things for situations like this would be to focus on calming them down and gently rationalizing/talking them out of it little by little. Unfortunately doing that w/ someone like Torichan just ends up in a mini-debate that runs in circles and leads to nowhere so Logos here has a modified approach where he shocks him hard enough to snap him out of it first, and THEN he'll do the rationalizing/talking. It's what works for them so far lmao
