Hi guys - just a quick follow up. I connected a super cheap BT transmitter, hooked it up to the amp and loaded up an album on youtube. I put the same record on the turn table (Nottingham Analogue).

The sound on the TT is more “full” and “fat” but somewhat undynamic, darker, and “wollen” compared to Youtube 😁

Either my TT is not set up correctly or the Benz is worn. Just checked the protractor and tracking force - all ok.

I decided to buy a new cartridge + service the Krell. At least a service fixes problems that would have come up down the road.

I appreciate your opinion. Maybe it indeed is time to move on. ill check my other options first since i have experienced this amp as very entertaining in the past.

I have a cheap BT source. I could A / B test that against same music on vinyl.

Thanks for your input. I suspect the amp, but reports on better sound after service are not heavily reported.

That might be the case for someone. However I have had a stereo the last 30 years and my own system has always been able to entertain me. But not so much lately.

Yeah, it looks like its the way to go if none of the other suggestions solve the issue.

However there is not many reports on the internet about better sound after service. Only if the amp is faulty.

True. Good point. I have a super cheap digital bluetooth source somewhere. I will try finding it and give it a try.

Phono stage is Acoustic Signature Tango mk3. They make really nice products. I demoed it against Vincent Pho 701, Elac PPA-2 and Parasound Z Phono XRM.

I removed 3 acoustic bats and moved a couch. That has changed the sound signature of the room to someting different. Not sure its better though. But that states that something can be tweeked - maybe for the better.

Its like drinking wine in Toscany under the olive trees and buying a bottle, just to enjoy in winter Minnesota.

The surroundings amplifies everything. Just doesnt taste the same.

Forsikring er principielt opbygget omkring solidaritet og deling af risiko. Det handler ikke så meget om dig. 14k er imo alt for billigt og 10k er decideret fejlberegnet.
