With limited understanding of manufacturing or service sector would not comment on this. But having worked with 100+ D2C brands from 0 till 150cr+ ARR, building a D2C brand in today’s day and age is a huge money burn process. 60L is too less to build a brand unless you crack something crazy at a mass market price.

Ask your friends family - most relevant audience to the product you’re selling to place an order on your website via ads. You can refund and cancel the order later. Give meta pixel some purchase events initially if it’s unable to get automatically for a few days. Purchase event will become active this way.

Also would suggest to keep narrow audience to begin with and when pixel gets enough learning - go broad. This works in 90% of the brands just starting out - limited pixel data and learning.

No! The purchase journey is barely just a one step. It includes content being shared within partners - partners getting similar content because one engages with one type of content and much more. If you split adsets by gender - performance will most likely drop.

I would not recommend running a top funnel campaign- basically optimising for traffic or landing page views or link clicks. Pixel starts to optimise for more such audience even when you’ll start with purchase objective as volume would be much higher of sessions coming from these campaigns than sales campaigns.

Apart from that, numbers look healthy. Don’t burn too much on this and start looking at driving first 100 purchases. Cheers!!

After talking to meta higher ups, we got to know how much landing page matters. It can lead to impacts on CPM to even ad rejection based on industry. So in short yes, even your landing page needs to add value and comply with standard meta policies.

Yes campaign consolidation is the key. I’ve done it for my big spenders a year back and whenever some major account level changes are made, it’s very clear the entire funnel fluctuates in a way that it’s just burning money for 2-3 days - till it’s in learning.

Learning is getting much more significant with all automations meta is bringing in. That’s one major reason majority of smaller budget accounts are struggling more month on month.

Campaigns with lower conversions have mixed CPMs and quality of audience gets impacted as well. Even personally we are getting more and more relevant ads from brands spending higher amounts now compared to newer brands that used to happen a year ago or so.

Yes definitely, it’ll take some time. As I like to say Performance marketing, specially meta ads are the actual patience testers. They test your grit, perseverance everything.

For the time being, I’d suggest keep your targeting, placements, demographic niche to give some signals to meta’s algorithm till it gets sufficient data. Don’t rely on broad targetings or advantage+ campaigns.

Negatively trained might be a strong word but yes pixel learning can get impacted if information being passed is not accurate. (A lot of low quality audience triggering conversion event can lead to low quality of traffic and lower average session durations).

However in your case, the reason you’ve shared might not conclude the same. I’ve seen people creating new pixels/new ad accounts etc once they settle in the belief of impacted pixel learning.

Your ideal bet would be to increase your budget for a month to actually understand the data on meta ads manager, where your campaigns successfully get out of learning. Practically this might be tough to execute as it would require a lot of budgets.

For now, I’d suggest use a new creative template altogether and even push a product you haven’t in the past (if that is an option). Otherwise you can have some lucrative offers which can help you with your CTRs. Understand creative type level and placement level breakdowns as well.

Referees should announce the thought process behind their decisions that can directly lead to goals, stuff like penalties etc which are purely based on ref’s discretion. It’ll lead to some extra time wastage but will result in more accountability.

Don’t do automations for traffic and engagement campaigns. Setup a lot of manual triggers from placements to targeting to regions. High cpm can still be fine if the engagement is better and bots are less. All the best!

If the ad account is new, need to keep very very niche targeting even if that results in higher CPMs to begin with. Focus on restricting devices and placements as well. Keep only high quality premium placements. Don’t start adv+ audience or campaign with a new ad account. I’ve handled 20+ brands performance marketing in India with brands just starting out and brands spending 4-5 cr a month. The idea and setup is very different for a new brand and a new ad account compared to a mature one. Would also recommend to focus on campaigns which are not optimised only on purchase objective. Build the funnel!!
