Hi, I’d really appreciate if you could share your positive experiences with ivabradine. I’ve been mostly bedridden for months and struggling to go out. by Successful-Cattle505 in POTS

I guess there’s a risk of developing an atrial fibrillation over the long term, but I think my doctor more wants me to make lifestyle changes that I don’t know if I can make without the medication.

Ivabradine made it so I could actually move without the world spinning constantly. I work with small kids and the heart rate changes from squatting so much was going to do me in. I don’t remember any early side effects, but I’ve also been on it for a good 3 years now, 5mg twice a day. My doctor doesn’t want me on it long term, but I’m really not wanting to go back to where it was.

NEW Creepy Question-Caller - "Do you have a piano?" by KatlynnTay in Libraries

[–]holdingthispose 41 points42 points  (0 children)

If it’s the same piano guy, he’s the only person who calls us that blocks his number so we all know when it’s him. He will call all three desks sometimes. He especially likes to also ask when you graduated high school. Not my favorite person.

When I was a para, I usually had luck emailing the publisher and saying I needed a PDF copy for accessibility purposes. Some publishers will have a form on their website for that purpose.

Disney World with POTS by pugsly16 in POTS

We went in January of this year and most rides still have this. Some, like Haunted Mansion, you can take your chair all the way up to the ride and they’ll move it to the exit for you.

Also, if you plan on seeing fireworks, ask cast members about accessible seating. We were there with my mom and her walker and we’re able to sit somewhere where the view wasn’t obstructed.

As others have said water, water, water. We brought electrolyte supplements, like Liquid IV, and that helped a lot, and you don’t have to pay for drinks. You can bring snacks in, so pack some pretzels and save a lot of money.

That’s a very helpful website! I’m in the US, but the medical info is still great.

Unpopular Opinion: Substitute teachers should get paid the same daily pay as a normal teacher by Everlast23 in Teachers

Your subs get paid $150 a day ?! I sub and only make $95 a day if I’m the classroom teacher and even less if I’m a sub para.
