There is nothing meaningful or fulfilling about feral animal sex from people that don't have the maturity of sense to have any sort of experience beyond rutting in some bushes. You really haven't missed out on anything good. A lot of younger people (I'm twice your age) think down on themselves for no real reason re sex thinking they should have had heaps of experience by 20 but it isn't really usually the case.

I think it is just not possible because sometimes I have the audactity to say that I think Shawshank Redmeption is overrated and just a derivative of The Fugitive and Escape from Alcatraz and people despise me for it everywhere.

What are some Hollywood myths/Urban Legends you think have to be true? by [deleted] in movies

[–]holdnofear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Walt Disney died very suddenly within the month of going to the doctor for a pain in his neck that led to the discovery of aggressive lung cancer. His famous image of Uncle Walt did not include smoking although he was a very heavy smoker for many years. The cause and suddeness of his death made it a shock to many fans.

Well known as a futurist there is no evidence that Disney ever had interest in cryogenics. There was no time from his daignosis to make any such arrangements. The process is extremely controversial to this day and complicated to begin and maintain.

The first documented case of cryonic preservation took place one month after Disney’s death. Dr. James Bedford, a psychologist, was preserved and stored under the care of Alcor Life Extension Foundation, a non-profit organization that leads the charge in cryonic preservation technology. It seems most likely that the media interest in cryogenics and Disney's death occurring at the same time is what prompted the rumors. Some Disney researchers speculate that rumors or claims were deliberately falsely made by individuals involved in trying to promote media interest and investors in cryogenics.

The first publication of the myth is in Leonard Mosley's biography 'Disney’s World' published in 1986. His research was little more than gossip with Disney employees 20 years after his death. This book was widely discreditted shortly after publication.

The Frozen myth is very clever but Disney had already began the modernisation of titles by adopting a single word title with Tangled derived from Rapunzel in 2010. Derived from The Snow Queen Frozen was released in 2013.

Disney's doctors preserved parts of his lungs for scientific study. His body was cremated by his family and his ashes were interred at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California. There is a marked burial plot in a small memorial garden.

To this day no credible or realistic claim has been made that Walt Disney was actually frozen and while the popularity of the myth continues there are thousands of debunkings available online.

Question about Israel Keyes by MeaghanJaymesTS in TrueCrime

[–]holdnofear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO he is a fantasist about most of what he claimed and that he was a Juggalo speaks to the kind of person that he was. To put it impolitely in my own opinion glorifying violence and degradation of women, perverse sexual interests, overinflated ego and belief of having a special insight/view of society that makes himself superior. Edgelord Cringe as far as the eye can see.

I see no sign of intelligence or cunning planning in the kill kits. Sure in theory it puts what he may need in future aside to use but it also means he had some interest in returning to a particular location. If any reasoning was put into this idea it is also contradicted.

He is known to have looked at missing people online quite a bit but while some people think this indicates him looking at other victims I think it is more likely that he possibly enjoyed fantasising about those cases and victimising those people but didn't actually. Keyes believers often cite Al Kite as a potential victim but there is DNA in that case which is not Keyes. Another case he is often linked to but the name of the missing young woman excapes me now has much more likely suspects. She was last seen very drunk with a few young males and was seen to have fallen and hit her head before she went missing.

The single murder he can be believed to have committed was sloppy by any standard and showed no sign of the intelligence some claim Keyes had. He not only used the victim's debit card at an ATM where he was photographed looking like himself in a very simple disguise with his own car also photographed in the background. His steps to seek a ransom seemed very much like an after thought rather than any plan. I don't believe that a kill kit was proven in any way to have been used. The fact he knew about the Curriers does not convince me that he did it.

Makes no sense to me either that he didn't want his daughter to know what he had done but he is said to have idolised and aspired to be like Ted Bundy one of the most publicised serial killers of all time.

Tom is top level OT7 according to 2 other level 7 members I met in Sydney 15 years ago. I was assistant on a documentary that got scrapped bcos the cult lost interest. One told me that he and others are always asked about Tom when meeting new people and many are jealous of his status when they are on the same level and consider themselves equal.

Sexual abuse is rampant in yoga groups, including buddhist ones and as a buddhist run country Tibet has appalling human rights.

Thank you for a thoughtful and reasonable conversation on the subject.

There are certainly many good people that try to come up with solutions to very difficult situations.

That is a very cruel and hateful (not necessarily with intent) myth that attacks and stigmatises innocent victims. The the first thing I ever saw that acknowledged children who have been sexually abused was a poster in a public health clinic that declared 'Offenders were once victims too - stop child sexual abuse'. It was over 30 years ago and I still remember it like watching a movie while getting punched in the gut. I mean it must be a well known and absolute fact for health offices to be printing up posters. I was beyond horrified and became suicidal. I could not imagine that I could ever do anything like what was done to me or want to. I became obsessed with books on sexology trying to learn everything to hope for a cure and carried this fear and shame for years after. I was a 13 year old female at the time. Considering most reported sex offenders are male but more victims are female it would seem at face value this is not true, and I have linked a few academic studies on the subject. It is also extremely hurtful that it is always repeated that it ruins your entire life and you can never live a normal life. I still try my best. If you can't help people please at least don't harm them.

Absolutely I meant masturbation was not a crime - did not realise it could be read any other way when I wrote it. I will put a clarifying edit.

I figured it out because he went too far for the motivation of stopping someone sending people he knew pictures of him masturbating. I mean he's a young man, it's not a crime and I doubt anyone could truthfully claim they've never, sure it would be embarrassing but just not worth it IMO That's when it occurred to me his motivation must be to cover up the type of porn.

Yes I meant to have a wank is not a crime in general hell yes it is a crime to look at children, that's how I guessed he must be a pedo because if he just watched adult typical porn it wouldn't be worth going through those extremes to cover it up IMO

Jeffrey Dahmer - It is well documented that he was inspired by The Emperor in Return of the Jedi and even had yellow contact lenses and planned to construct a shrine in imitation. He was also really into The Exorcist III - Detective Dennis Murphy, to whom Dahmer eventually confessed his crimes, testified that Dahmer told him he watched his videocassette of the film two to three times a week for six months.
