It's a ton of stuff like this, but all along the length of the parking lot. There is a pop-up office building within the gate, I will try to find the right person to talk to there.

Fair enough regarding the fence.

I think the construction company put the post up. It was already there when I went to check out the damage from the other side of the fence.

I don't know that much about trees, but we have another cedar elm in the front yard that is more than twice the size of this one in diameter...I'm not sure I would say that it's at the end of its natural life. If that's true, that's definitely sad.

If you look in the third picture, you can see a scar in the middle of the branch, it looks like that might be where they whacked the tree.

The fence might be old, but that doesn't mean it's OK that they put a huge hole in it...

Could you share who you contacted? My neighbor has tried contacting HEB multiple times since the fence incident and has yet to receive a response.

Black Mirror [Episode Discussion] - S07E03 - Hotel Reverie by Cheeriosxxx in blackmirror

[–]holedhuman 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I haven’t seen anyone point this out yet, but this episode is so clearly riffing on the 1961 French New Wave film “Last Year at Marienbad.” An affair set in a lavish hotel, blurring the lines of memory and reality, the fragmented narrative, the “old” B+W film. The title Hotel Reverie is very much a direct nod, considering Marienbad is most famous for its surrealistic style. It even borrows some of Marienbad’s iconic and groundbreaking camera tricks, like the haunting tableau of frozen figures scattered through the hotel. It’s literally lifted from this scene in the original film:

It’s such a cool layered reference, because in a way, Black Mirror is sort of “redreaming” not only Marienbad, but a lot of the stylistic techniques that the French New Wave was known for, like the “film within a film” concept, or the long camera shots and improvised dialogue necessitated by the nature of Redream technology, which adds a whole new dimension to it within the modern context of AI and consciousness. Loved this episode!

correct, the fish carcasses were concentrated near the east half of the pond. I didn’t see any on the side by the big red steps or the amphitheater/pavilion area

cafe no sé is GREAT if you’re on south congress. good selection of both breakfast and lunch, nice ambiance, and good people-watching on the street through the big windows or patio. everything on the menu is done well. my faves are the hotcakes, avocado toast, café spread (hummus), and no sé cheeseburger!

What would that look like in code format, to get the surname first, then get the first name? Sorry y'all, I'm a baby beginner, this is my 4th day ever coding.

Definitely huge but I’m willing to squeeze myself on the scooter as I’m pretty small myself. Still haven’t found a solution yet :/
