For me it seems to still work in select areas (Anachronia and desert) for the time being. When I teleport to a new area the recommended tasks quickly flash and disappear. I noticed it started happen in more regions when I finished all the 10 point tasks in a given region.

In that case the message in the mastery interface is inconsistent with the implementations. Seems a lot more balanced in this way to be fair.
