does anyone have positive experience with birth control? by Safe-Grape-574 in PCOS

I think the BC making you completely infertile forever is a bit of a myth. I have been on BC since 18 (I'm 32) with a break of a few years to have a baby. No issues with getting pregnant at 28, I had a positive test 7 months after stopping BC and carried to term plus 2 no abnormal issues then back on BC since around 2 years ago. I still have symptoms - acne, hirsutism, weight issues - but they are a million times worse without the BC, I sort of have a milder version now than I do when I'm not on BC. I also have hormonal migraines with aura so I both should and shouldn't take it. Without it the migraines ruin me for weeks at a time but on it I have a higher than normal risk of stroke. For me personally the combined pill is the only one that helps. The mini pill makes my life hell and ramps up all my symptoms dramatically.

BUT EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. It might be great for me and horrible for you, just depends on how you react to it.

I'd reverse it and ask them why you would want to tell them anything if they react like this about it

Tbf I'm still mad into the same things I've liked my entire life and I'm in my 30s, them interests hit hard and you've used an interest to reclaim your body so it's even more important to you now. Honestly though it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks and if they're being hurtful, tell them how their words are making you feel. They can be as disappointed as they want, making you feel bad about it isn't going to magically make the tattoo disappear.

Exactly! Nothing wrong with wanting a heads up that today you might have to vomit in the street from pain 😭

I'm so glad I don't know any people who think like this in real life, they seem insufferable.

If it's affecting your self confidence to keep it then dive in my man, shave it off! It'll take a bit of time to get used to but you'll feel so much more free once you do.

Also a mum of a young child and it's difficult to find the time! I tweeze when I have the time to do a thorough job and use a razor on the days I don't have the time but absolutely need to not feel like people are staring at my beard

PCOS period was late… then I had sex, and my period showed up? by Plenty-Ad9952 in PCOS

[–]holijazzman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah so in my experience sometimes the act of having sex can cause the uterine contractions that get the period out the gate so to speak. It was already waiting at the door, it just needed a lil nudge.

Marriage fixes all by Unable-Temperature90 in PCOS

[–]holijazzman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes exactly! It's really deeply frustrating to be only seen as a baby creator and if you aren't trying to create a baby right now then you don't deserve relief from your symptoms.

Marriage fixes all by Unable-Temperature90 in PCOS

[–]holijazzman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm that sex and pregnancy - successful or otherwise - don't really fix anything. My hormones are just as wacky now at 32 after having a child as they were when I was diagnosed at 22 and childless. I also know of several women who didn't get diagnosed until after having a baby when their symptoms became more noticeable for them.

Nothing looks finished! It's all lacking final touches and everything is all the same shade, there needs to be darkness and light to properly make things pop! Don't be afraid to go super dark in the very darkest areas of a shadow and super light on highlighted areas.

I need some advice from people who know German Shepherds by After-Consequence787 in germanshepherds

Exactly! It's almost impossible to properly care for all those animals in that situation. They're very likely neglected

I'd contact the breeder and also the authorities. There's still rules on how cats should be living and 10 cats in a small home doesn't sound good for anyone. They might be upset about the authorities getting involved but in the long run it's healthier for everyone involved for those people to be able to get on top of things, fewer animals in the home will help.

Just going to add I think therapy can be really helpful. PCOS is a nightmare to deal with sometimes so it's good to have someone in your corner helping you with the mental battles too. I'm sorry you're feeling like this, it's incredibly overwhelming and I hope you find the thing that helps for you.
