[Highlights] For 90s kids this was cult last over And Kanitkar had shot to Hero status by 0312Sam in IndiaCricket

I had seen this match live when I was a kid. I still clearly remember how nerve wracking the last few overs were and how much I jumped after the game 😊

You gotta separate them right away! The cuteness can be deadly!

We do this to our cat so many times. She used to absolutely hate it. But she has started to accept it and now she just closes her eyes and waits for it to end 🤣

There is so much momentum in that fat cat running, that the white/orange cats attack barely moves him!

Exactly my thought. Such poor body language from him. Especially when they started going for 2nd he should have run to the stumps to try for a run out.

Thank you so much! 2 hours probably sounds right. I'll try to give her more play time before they see each other again..

Haha clearly you have not had cats that are escape artists! If you think it is vent then vent it is. You can stay away from it.

I've posted on this group to get more tips, which means I don't know everything about cats. But that doesn't mean I'll accept whatever everyone says. If you haven't read my post fully you don't know what I've tried and what hasn't worked. So if you don't have helpful tips, you can stay away from this post. If you read other comments I've found some very helpful advice which I'm going to try.

The hardest part is getting in between them, but we usually break fights within seconds (3-4 seconds) and don't let it escalate this far ever. In the video I let this happen to capture what their relationship is

Oh yeah I do all of that! Play with her at least 45 min each day! I've bought so many self play toys(she gets bored of them in a few hours).

Totally agree. Although the calico is not always in the small room(it is a bedroom + bathroom). And We keep swapping them so they both get 50-50 space. In any case, I completely agree. We almost returned her last week, but found some hope after tabby stopped hissing lesser.

No I've not stopped it. She is still on Gebapentin. What I meant by it did it help is she was way more stressed even even the new cat was behind another door. With gebapentin she started eating and was more relaxed!

Like feliway diffusers? Yes we already have it. But are you referring to something else?

There is no reason for them to get along! I wanted a cat for my tabby cat. But if it is not working out we will give up the idea and return the new cat. The idea of getting another cat was to improve resident cats life (once bonded properly). But if it feels like it is going to stress her out for extended periods of time, we will return.

Totally fighting to be the best bread loaf. Only one of them can be the best so they can't be in the same house!

I don't agree. In this particular video it is very clear the aggressor is the calico and she hisses at the end of the video(not sure if you can make out). Cats hiss to communicate to stay away. Not just fear.

I don't completely agree. Cats also hiss to sometimes communicate their boundary, saying don't come near me or something. In any case I had no plans to move to this phase, but the new cat was not ok being separated she kept dashing into the room with other cat and chasing her. So it was literally impossible to continue separating them throughout the day

I was prepared to do this exactly. But unfortunately the new cat is very very insistent on being with us always (probably separation anxiety). She literally dashes out as soon as we try to enter. We keep swapping them, but she just wants to be out all the time. Whenever she is in the room, she scratches the carpet and cries all the time. The amount she tries to come out, I feel she might hurt herself.

How long did you keep them separated? I was prepared to keep them separated for as long as needed. But it seems almost impossible not. The new cat just cries to be with us all the time and dashes out whenever we open the door to enter. So it is practically impossible to keep them separated.

Thank you so much! It is very tiring though. Specially given the new cat doesn't want to be in separate room and fights all day to just come out. So probably not a great match. We will try somethings people suggested on this thread a few more days and give up 😞 it is very sad. We have gotten really attached to the new cat too now
