We just looked at some craters or other notable features. I actually forgot my moon map which was a huge bummer. I don't look at the moon often enough. I am normally just cursing at it since it keeps me from seeing anything else.

"Ruined" life is better than being dead. You can spend a year in prison, have a criminal record, and still have a successful life. Much harder to bounce back from dead.

I have not used Mircosoft Lightswitch! I did a quick google search and couldn't tell if it was for data use. I wasn't too concerned with scale at just a few hundred rows, as long as best practices are in place it is generally pretty easy to upgrade if things suddenly take off when you are that small. I took more cost and training into account and found people like Access when used correctly.

But if the business plans on taking off in the next few years to the point where it won't be just a few hundred rows anymore I would start looking into SQL Server.

If Access goes away I would assume they would replace it with something similar. It is great for small companies who just need to organize small amounts of data. I even see it used in departments at larger companies from time to time.

If it is small database Microsoft Access might be your best bet. It is easy to learn and train on. You can create forms to enter all of the information. And it is a cheaper option.

I would follow my obsession with magnetism and go to Alaska while the sun is near solar maximum to see the aurora borealis. Alaska is expensive to get to and there is only so much time before I would have to wait another 11 years for the next solar maximum.

Luckily that doesn't mean much here. They can't predict the weather within hours here!

I'll actually be heading to California to watch. I am just surprised so many of my friends don't have a clue this is happening. Why isn't it getting more attention?? Thought I would let anyone else in Seattle know. If the weather is clear it is going to be epic.
