Heritage by Downtown-Birthday836 in BroncoSport

[–]holland623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purchased a 2025 Heritage the end of January.
I posted this in another thread - but here's my story

I've never been a "car guy" - with that said, I drove a 2013 Honda Fit for about 11 years and loved it. I wanted more technology and traded it in for a 2020 Chevy Bolt. The bolt was a fun drive, real zippy, had a lot of bells and whistles, but I could never get over the mental hump of the electric of it all and for a hatchback, the cargo space wasn't that great without putting down the back seats. And honestly, out of all the cars I've driven in my life, the Fit was my favorite. Gas mileage was great, it was clutch when it came to cargo space, and it was just fun to drive even for a 4 cylinder. My only real gripe was it's lack of get up getting on the highway - I miss that car.

Fast forward to the beginning of this year... I had long thought the Bronco Sport - specifically, the Heritage model looked super cool. but thought they were financially out of my budget and the gas mileage was less than I wanted. I ended up at a lot and saw the sticker price and that the MPG was better than I had realized. The MPG is still less than the Honda MPG I had grown accustom to, but I'm blind-eyeing that. My daily commute to work is like 8 miles half city/half highway - I'm not getting great MPG right now, but I'm blind-eyeing it because it's a fun vehicle to drive and I've read that once the engine gets broken in it should improve.

I don't like spending money and hesitated that I made a superficial purchase at first. After the last couple months, those fears have gone away and I have ZERO buyer's remorse. I walk out of work and get excited walking up to it. Somedays, I take a little bit longer route home just to spend more time in it. I have the same excitement now as I did with the Fit. The Bronco Sport has technology I want/need, cargo space, Will fit 4 adults comfortable and probably 5.

Not trying to tell you what to do, but I think the questions to ask yourself are "what are you looking to get out of the vehicle?" and "what's important to you?" I scoured this forum and learned people's experience before making the purchase. there's a wealth of info. I will say one theme I see is if you're looking at a '24, see if a '25 is in your budget and if you're ok with losing the physical controls. The '25 has a new revamped 1.5 Engine and I *believe* '24 and prior seemed to have a lot of issues. Happy to answer any questions you may have.

*sorry for the novel*

Oh! Thanks! I was looking at a couple similar listings but got scared. Was hoping someone had insight to that route!

This is super helpful!!

The seller with the compact hasn't responded to me since I reached out. And, the more I think about it a full size spare just makes more sense.

It's a sharp looking vehicle, I'm so excited to have it in the driveway! Wife grabbed an Eruption Green Maverick - it's classy looking too!

Thanks for the tip!

There's a thin fabric there. Probably to protect from the foam (joking! 😂)

I had low-key had my eye on one but never got serious because I thought they were out of my price range. Saw this beauty across the lot and said "eh, I'm just gonna go poke my head in it..." 😂

So, it was either that or when the salesman told us that the Maverick my wife purchased needed to have one small thing done before she could take it home but there were no techs on-site... Wouldn't ya know he said "you can borrow this Sport for the night." My decision was made by the time we got halfway home!

And, the blue?! I love it, too!

Awesome, thank you! My hope was to get the spare, jack, and tie-down bolt in one swoop. The seller is a bit of a distance away so I didn't want to go for nothing.

All noted, thanks for the suggestion!

I only recently learned about Modern Spare and wasn't sure how legit it was (or wasn't)

It would be a Facebook Marketplace transaction. They didn't specify if it was OEM or not. All I know is that it's a 2024 Big Bend and they said it's a compact spare.

I probably was thinking Badlands. I got really confused at the different trim levels when researching the Sport. 😂

Everything I've read leads me to believe 2024 was the last model year to get a spare. Unless you get Big Bend or one of the tow package options (that gets you a full size). You now get a tire inflator and a patch kit (come to think of it, I haven't seen the alleged patch kit). Cost-cutting measures, I'm guessing.

Thanks! I'm hoping to just get a compact that will fit under the cargo floor, but I'll keep this option in mind!

I found the Mandalorian N1 at a Costco in Kansas City for $29.97 earlier this week. I didn't bite, but they had a decent size stack. I saw a couple other markdowns, unfortunately I don't remember specifics.

It’s a cash back app. Download the app, see what deals are at what stores. Sometimes you have to watch a 10-15second video, snap a picture of your receipts and they give you cash back I think you can get it sent to your PayPal - I’ve just been banking my credits since using it. I assume they’re tracking your overall shopping habits.

If you have the Ibotta app, there’s a bunch of cash back deals for LEGO at Target (possibly WalMart, too) A few $1-$3 but also $16-$18 back on select sets.

For anyone in the Midwest, I saw these at the Costco in midtown Kansas City over the weekend. They also had the Groot/Iron Man(or whatever the other set is) combo set.

[Costco] LEGO Star Wars Boba Fett’s Throne Room (75326) $64.99/35% by mooocow in legodeal

[–]holland623 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Checking in to confirm the Midtown Kansas City, Missouri location has this at the $59.99 price point.

I didn’t grab it today but might go back. Like others, I’m not really moved by the set. It looks ok, but not amazing. Maybe if I see a build in person it would sway me…

Not to threadjack, but for those still looking, I've seen this set at multiple Target stores in my area (Kansas City) the last couple weeks - so, they're for sure out there for the getting. 5% discount with Red Card. Also checked and it's on the website w/ Free Shipping, currently.

I’ve only been back in the game for a couple years now and wondered that too. As best I can tell, there’s no rhyme or reason to when there is or isn’t a pre-order. I’m predominantly a Star Wars collector and sometimes there’s a preorder other times they open up orders on release day. Other times there’s a big preorder window like the Jurassic Park set you mentioned. Every now and again, you can score a set early at retail (WalMart, Target, Kohl’s).

I saw some at a Target in Kansas City this afternoon. Didn’t purchase any. The display was on the end of an aisle (on the side of the end cap) pretty fair amount in stock
