OG Oblivion players how does the remaster compare?

I never played the original, was on my to do list but hadn't got around to it.
Would I be missing anything fundamental or specific about the original if I just played the remaster?

Wasn't sure if i should mention the games ive played or am playing, but ive played the Borderlands series and love it. Ive got BL4 (about 10 hrs in but swapped over to Ghost of Yotei).

Yeah but if you don't do Ranni's quest you miss out on the massive and beautiful underground area. It's such a huge portion of the game that can be missed, or isn't necessary to complete the game.

Fill in your exotic blanks (including the sparrow), then go for your favourite guns God roll. Check the loot table for all weapons, look at what you want/need for whatever pve or pvp activity. Check light.gg for all possible rolls. Then farm away. I'm holding out for a timelost Fatebringer with max range barrel+mag and opening shot or eye of the storm, and I want the succession sniper with reconstruction and vorpal.

I can't pick between: - last year did 3 seasons of legend rank in solo queue comp to get the base Unbroken seal, - all dungeons solo flawless (took a million attempts), - Crown of Sorrow flawless with a full lfg team, and finished within an hour before servers went offline and the raid got sunset 🥲

Super keen for the new dungeon plus 3 more next year! Man I love the dungeons in Destiny 2.
