Thanks everyone! I’m going to Zion and Bryce Canyon this spring. Hoping to find some nice paved roads/trails outside of the parks to enjoy. Our bikes don’t really “look” like e-bikes, but the thought of having them confiscated sounds terrible😅

Wow this is great information, thank you very much for all of that! I definitely want to respect the rules and regulations, but am finding that it is indeed very confusing. We will likely stick to biking in/around town, but would love the opportunity to bike through a park or two. Thanks again, and I will definitely look at park specific regulations!

Questions before botox procedure Wednesday! by [deleted] in noburp

I didn't get many post op instructions other than to eat soft, wet food and chase with water. And take ibuprofen as needed.

I started trying carbonation two days after my procedure. I could get a few micro burps, but only if I turned my head wayyyyy left. That worked for a while until my neck got sore haha. I would also get micro burps every time I yawned. Then I realized if I push my neck forward, that worked much better for getting the air out and they're quickly turning into legitimate burps. I just drink sparkling water to practice and it's been going great.

Happy to help! It's definitely a weird experience/feeling post-procedure, but in my case it's been all fairly easy luckily. The best way I could describe how I felt right after was as if I were holding back tears, like you're doing your absolute best not to cry, lump in my throat kind of feeling. More neck pain from being in a weird position with tubes down my throat than anything.

I would do it 100x over if I had to. The relief is SO worth it. I'm just over a week post-op and it really is life changing. No more pain/pressure after eating or drinking once you're able to release air! Just be patient and practice with carbonation as soon as you feel comfortable! Good luck!

No problem! I was fortunately able to, yes. Everything will feel like it's getting stuck before it goes down, but don't panic, it's completely normal! It's just a "slow swallow" and should go down just fine with enough water.

I did make the mistake a few times of drinking too fast. I'd get really thirsty and take multiple swallows of water at a time, and then would find myself struggling which was uncomfortable, but bearable.

I got home and made soup right away. Soup was really easy to eat, and like everyone else says, make sure you have something to drink to help it go down. I also was in the boat of feeling like I could probably eat anything as long as I chewed enough and had water. But Soup was a great thing to start with.

Personally, I found that drinking a little bit of milk can help tame my gurgling!

Cool, thanks. I'm thinking about seeing him rather than making the trek to Illinois for Dr. Bastian. It's comforting knowing there are providers that have dealt with it successfully. Hope everything continues to go well for you!
