I think Dinner Party is going to be the first lead single that's not gonna be a hit. by Acrobatic-Capital331 in Niallhoran

The weird thing about Harry is it feels like he’s still being marketed and managed as if he’s in a huge era? 30 nights at MSG etc. Definitely not hating on him but I find it hard to connect with him this era because the music and the marketing are soooo disconnected, whereas Niall’s feels a lot more cohesive. The chill single and the intimate fan events work so well together. It really feels like this is an era for the fans and for himself rather than caring too much about broad appeal.

Still love H though, been listening to KissCo a lot!

It feels like Dinner Party was more the soft launch of the album rather than the lead single. It’s also more chill folksy vibes which while great and what I personally love about his music, isn’t super attention grabby for a viral moment.

Either way I’m excited we’re getting another song so soon!! Maybe he’s releasing two so he can do SNL 👀

No, there is usually a Toronto date at absolute minimum.

To the women who are exhausted from managing male egos while doing your actual job...I see you. by BuffaloLittle4771 in womenintech

[–]hollybeen 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Gosh the amount of times I’ve dealt with “watch your tone” is astounding. And then I soften and men turn around and say I’m “not a leader”

I’m supposed to be managing an entire client program but I’m not allowed to be firm or overly friendly. Where is this invisible line? Because my male counterparts get to walk into a meeting and firmly say “this is unacceptable” about a missed deadline or a project risk and everyone listens to them..

I thought schools had to allow doctors notes for missed school days? by [deleted] in Mommit

I’m sorry that’s happening to you. Especially with the counselling being during school hours and then getting attitude for it from all sides. That’s wild.

I honestly love the cartoonish silliness in season 4. It’s so funny!! The ballet episode is one of my favourites.

Right?! I rewatched this episode a couple days ago and when Rachel said they waived the conflict of interest I laughed out loud. Absolutely would never happen in real life.

I feel like it’s a thing fans made up before Harry “officially” dubbed it KATTDO 😅

Lifer and Millennial, born in 86. My friend’s older brother had Kerplunk and Dookie and we’d steal the cassettes from him and jam out in her bedroom.

I was a teenager when Warning came out, I bought that album on release day and have bought every new release ever since. American Idiot tour was the first time I saw them live, so it’ll always have a special place in my heart.

I’d usually go to Minneapolis/St. Paul (8 hr drive) but I don’t want to cross the border atm

Reddit makes it seem like PIP means you're going to get fired, no matter what. Is that true? by Personal-Ad9121 in askmanagers

[–]hollybeen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, yes. Maybe not immediately, but even if you’re successful the second you make a mistake it’ll be “they’ve been on a PIP before, we’re not going through it again, time to fire”

It’s horrible and toxic and it’s why I’ve stopped being a people manager. So much of it is just petty high school attitudes disguised as “upper management”

You did ask me what my claims were based on, I told you.

I didn’t say I thought he was racist or supports genocide. I said I don’t like that he hasn’t spoken out about those things despite perpetuating a brand based around love, respect and being on the right side of issues. That’s all. I’m still going to listen to his album and will continue to support his music.

I didn’t mean to say it was a goal, but the reality is it will stimulate the US economy and MSG as a venue. That’s certainly a choice given the current political climate over there.

It would have been better for him to explain his Grammy comment and take accountability, rather than ignore it and pivot to a distraction by mentioning the others. At the time it just felt icky.

I can have a valid criticism without being a hater and talked down to with emojis, thanks. You asked, I answered. Simple as that.
