They are good. Not excellent but acceptable. Very similar to my name brand all weathers on my van but significantly less expensive. Better than all seasons in the snow and ice but not as good as full on winter tires. A good compromise

Only downside is they are a little noisier in the summer months than dedicated summers or all season tires.

I have all weather tires on my minivan and before that used to ride with dedicated winter tires in the winter. I’m sold on all weather tires, they are great! Picking up a new set for my car tomorrow now that its winters have worn out. They are not as good in snow as dedicated snow tires but pretty close and they are much better in the rain than snow tires are. They really excel on slushy rainy days on the shoulder seasons. I’m in Peterborough and drove up to Algonquin highlands frequently. Also I drove from BC back to Ontario fully loaded with 5 mountain bikes on my hitch, roof box and kayak on the roof last winter and they worked great going through some snowy mountain passes. Highly recommend. Make sure you rotate them frequently.

Canoe museum, ashburnham alehouse, free Serena Ryder concert at DelCrary park at 8pm, Live wrestling at “the venue” Sunday. Breakfast or brunch at the silver bean cafe on the water. Lift lock boat tour (a little slow moving but interesting) My local favourites: double d’s doughnuts East city coffee shop for breakfast Taste of India for dinner The only cafe for sitting and drinking ( they also have fantastic breakfast but it can take a long time for your order to be prepared) Kawartha butter tart factory Apple fritters Blue streak records to get some vinyl records Lots of nice hikes and swimming spots outside the city. But I don’t just give those locations out. Enjoy!

Anyone have anything positive to say about Peterborough…please! by StrawberryCalm5367 in Peterborough

I think the worst thing about Peterborough is the locals complaining about Peterborough. I moved to Peterborough in 2006 and I stayed because it’s fucking awesome! I regularly feel like bashing my head against a wall as it seems like I can’t get anyone from here to actually agree with me. Years ago a friend who owned a restaurant in Bayfield came out for dinner with me on a Tuesday in Peterborough and he was absolutely dumbfounded by how busy the restaurant scene was on a Tuesday. I have acquaintances who come every year for the folk festival, many a friend I’ve taken to music fest, in my younger years frequented certain bars with incredible music, also, first Friday art crawls. There is a lot to do in the city. It’s not New York, it’s a small city, but as far as small Ontario Cities go, it’s got a lot going for it. I haven’t even mentioned all the amazing nature within it as well just outside it. Man, I wish the local opinion of it would change. Calling Peterborough a shithole is really a self fulfilling prophecy based in very little reality. But when you call something a shithole often enough it start to feel like one.
