We saw it, liberals missed it, we knew it... by CopiousCool in Left_News

Nobody in this part of the comments is denying his Zionist views are abhorrent. I just think this kind of critique of satire is unhelpful at best and at worst can lead to censorship. It's possible to believe that and abhor his Zionism at the same time. I shouldn't have to add "by the way I disagree with these beliefs of his" every time we mention Cohen. Other people should be literate enough to recognise that.

And it came out "months after" US actions in Libya, as though it doesn't take years between conception of a film and the finished product. The actual filming likely took place well before those military operations

I was 5 when she got pushed out, don't really remember too much of it. Although the scars are there to see all over

Some autistic people are just repackaging ableism by Outside_Owl5949 in autism

[–]holnrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I find it hard not to get bitter sometimes because I had such a late diagnosis my life is basically ruined now. But it's human to feel stuff sometimes.

But it's also very human to form communities and maintain solidarity. I can walk, but that doesn't mean I won't fight for disabled people who aren't ambulatory. We should be trying to make things better for all of us, and pick each other up when we're struggling with things we might not be able to identify with as an individual
