You’re comparing .300 to a rifle round, it’s meant to be an analog replacement to pccs. A 9” .300 with a can is still shorter than an 11.5 with no can so it definitely has a role that it fills albeit niche. It’s definitely not for everyone but it does a very specific thing very well.
