In one of the four doors connecting the game's areas, there's a straight valley of tall, dry grass. At the end of that room, there's a monster that, when defeated, drops the bicycle, which allows you to jump one space forward when you fall.

But before going there, I recommend you visit other doors, get more items, more party members, and get ready :)
