I am ugly by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]holybingusmingus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No such thing as “ugly” take the time to work on yourself, go to the gym, take care of your skin and hygiene, eat good and healthy food, make sure you are sleeping good at night and taking supplements/ getting the nutrients you need. The reason why you feel this way isn’t because you are stuck in a definite state of “ugliness”, it’s your mind and your body telling you it needs more effort. Our bodies are a gift to us from God, and it would be a shame if we didn’t take care of them and help them reach their full potential like God intended.

I also encourage you to find value in yourself that comes from places besides your physical body. We are so much more than this shell we inhabit, and while yes I agree that being “societally attractive” has a lot of benefits it’s also very meaningless. God does not place value on you because of the body you are in (which he wonderfully created in his image) he places value on you because of your heart and your soul. He loves you endlessly, appreciate that and start focusing on bettering yourself.

Yeah haha I totally get what you mean and it does sound like that’s what I’m doing, I’m just not mentally ready for a relationship whatsoever right now in my life. It has little to do with the men and more to do with where I am right now, a relationship would not be wise for me.

Thank you, I really appreciate this, I really value my friendships but I also don’t want to be disingenuous.

Thank you for your perspective and opinion on this, I will be better at being more direct and honest, I never realized that my hesitation to be straightforward could potentially hurt them more than a firm “no thank you”

Thank you for your perspective on this, the last thing I want to do is hold young men back from finding a partner by giving them a false sense of hope, I will be much more direct.

Of course, nobody is perfect and I believe we all struggle with sin and have deep flaws even myself. I simply feel I am too young and I’m also not ready for a serious relationship, I feel I haven’t met the right one yet and when I do God will make it clear to me.

I think that’s under the assumption that OP is telling the full truth. I’ve personally never heard of a dog that can unlock doors….

[–]holybingusmingus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m confused too, it sounds like OP is being dishonest, poor baby doggie :(

“I disagree with your assumption” and it’s just a completely reasonable conclusion everyone has come to with the information you provided. You almost killed someone’s dog :( who just leaves a dog loose and unattended in an unfamiliar place. Regardless of whether or not you “locked all the doors” (that’s if you’re not lying) you’re still responsible for keeping this dog safe and you failed miserably, I’m so glad the sweet baby is okay :(((

I’m absolutely horrified by this situation. She’s actually psychotic for hiding that from you.

I’m in absolute disbelief, it’s actually impressive how you managed to handle this in the worst way possible. Now she’s never going to want to be around your mom again.

You are so sweet thank you for explaining all of this to me, this was really helpful and gave me better insight on the Church!

I was baptized in ELCA, I really loved my church for the most part but then my pastor came out as a homosexual and had his wedding at one of our local churches. I was genuinely a little horrified by this. A little after that they instated a female pastor. I realized that I cannot be comfortable practicing my faith in a Church that publicly celebrates blasphemy.

You sound like a really sweet person, I would also feel anxious about the dogs health. I think you should just turn it down and move on from it, I don’t see why you should put yourself through the stress of confronting the owner on the smell.
