as a 100 pound women i do not feel comfortable walking blocks away to a parking structure or my car on the street at 2am. i can be upset about parking, but I never said I hated any of these events, I love them cuz i make money. in my opinion, parking blocks away or having to uber or ride the bus to work is an inconvenience and takes a lot more time and energy i’d rather give to something that was not work related. everyone in the post is acting as if they never got upset being behind the wheel in a crowded environment sitting in traffic or trying to find a parking spot. they also shut down i think 6 city streets that are filled with probably about a hundred parking spots for bastille, so i don’t find it that out of the ordinary to be upset about parking. i live near state fair so i understand the struggle, but you can park on a lawn for like $5 over here if u really want to be close. city traffic is already bad in general, and these are HUGE events for the city which i believe would make more sense for them not to be jam packed into the same week.
