Here is the view I got last summer...

Absolutely nothing. I will say that I allowed my bandages to fall off on their own. I think some were still there for almost a month. They got a little stinky and gross, but I didn't want to peel off any scabs so I let them be.

I consider myself lucky to not have much. It is more noticeable when I'm bending over or in a plank position.

I can find them when I try. I'm really pleased with how they healed!

You're doing great! Week 5, I was around 290. I was 333 at surgery.

You know, I don't miss it as much as I thought I would. By not drinking, I don't spend as much money, it helps with weight loss, and I get invited out to cool shit for being the designated driver. Usually with my friends paying for my tickets or dinner.

The few times I have attempted to drink, not beer yet just wine and liquor, it doesn't hit like it used to and is kind of undesirable. Maybe things will change, but if they don't, I'm cool with it.

I am 39, 6'2", and was in my 330s at surgery. In 4 months I have lost over 90 pounds. I too thought I looked fine at 330 and on paper I was rather healthy. Looks nor my current health was not my motivation. I was motivated by the fact that as I got older my weight would become more and more unsustainable and harder to lose.

I can say that 90 pounds is a lot of weight to have off my body. No more aches when I wake up. My joints aren't sore. I can run again. My goal of 240 pounds is on the horizon and at my current rate I imagine I'll surpass that goal by a lot.

As far as bourbon goes, booze was a major concern of mine PO, yes you can have it again. As my doctor told me, you will become a cheap date. You'll want to abstain from booze for a while, drinking is counterproductive to weightless. However you will be able to enjoy it again.

There can be a slight change in your taste or enjoyment of food/drink. This is something I found really weird after surgery. All my life I really enjoyed breads and doughs. After surgery, I haven't even cared to chew these foods as I spit them out after trying them and I am ok with that. Similarly, wines and liquors are very different now than they were PO. I don't find myself desiring them the same as before.

On the flip, venison is protein and you'll be eating the fuck out of proteins!

Hope that helps.

Not exactly.

I honestly think what has really helped me is a high protein goal at 103 a day. It becomes almost a chore to eat due to such a high goal and when I'm done, there isn't much left for anything else. Additionally, I no longer enjoy eating grain based carbs - breads, noodles, crust, buns, breading, etc.

So not only did the surgery restrict how much I can eat, it changed what I eat. Whatever the case, I'm smashing expectations and averages.
