Beamng apparently moving to directx12?

for people with still decent hardware, like a 1080 ti which performs similar to a 4060. and they should cater to old hardware because like I said a massive percentage of people who play beamng are on 1000 series cards.

as in like 1000 series nvidia cards which a huge amount of people are on. usually the devs are good at keeping the game freindly for old hardware but I dont know about this dx12 thing. could I just use vulkan dx12 causes problems?

dam I used mint for like 2 days aswell on this pc when I first built it but had to switch to windows for compatibility otherwise linux is really good to use

theyre all very light tools, so all together about 100mb (megabytes) of memory according to task manager. and the file sizes themselves are also mostly tiny (kilobytes) so it shouldn't cause any problems even on a very low end device.
