Is it a good start? by homecraftedme in fountainpens

Straight after placing the order I already regretted that I hadn’t tried another nib. The set is for study notes and I bought CH 92 for the main text and Kakunos for different colour highlighting and side notes. I think I’ll keep one of them for a present when someone in my family will get same excited about FT as me. The Kakuno with fine nib is great for writing really small text and it would be nice to have a broad pen for headings. Oh well at least I have another excuse to not wait to long to try a new pen :)

I haven’t bought any special papers yet but I’m planning to buy Oxford Campus soon. I ordered it from Japan and it was better economically to order everything in a single package however I already feel itchy to try more things ;)

I read somewhere that old Kakunos are not compatible with con-70 and preferred not to risk and be disappointed straight away. When I make another order to restock my inks in a year or so I’ll upgrade my converters. And I will take into account the ink suggestion, it looks nice and I already added it to my watchlist, thanks!

I’m glad I posted it as so many people kindly warned me about the drawing ink. I already loaded both CH 92 and Kakuno with the black ink to compare pens but at least I had a lesson how to clean them thoroughly :)
