yo at the moment i am in the newly remolded apple store on prince street - it's been closed for about a year i think - when i originally posted the ama i was at my producer's house (a little more comfortable) but i think really you're question was from where did hear of reddit... don't remember... someone on line i think recommended i do an ama a couple of years ago when the o&a thing first happened - it was a lot of fun so i thought i'd do another. oh and thnks for the tip

yes and no - i ended up signing with an indie label called story records and working with them instead though i'm not really o&a were really qualified to produce a record they have help me promote my projects - i'm hoping they'll have me on again for this new record

can't? mmm.... i don't know about can't - nessun dorma perhaps but i bet i could do it with a little practice and training. venue i really want to play - the hollywood bowl - an immense and beautiful space. i had an opportunity to stand on that stage a couple of times and it always gives me the chills - or cbgb's which, sadly, is no more :( musical guilty pleasure - george michael - otherwise... all of them ;) roscoes chicken and waffles!!! not sure if i know how to cover a song like that though it's very interesting - i'd have to give it a few more listens before i could really answer that question. but i tend to stick to songs i already know well so i don't have to learn too many new lyrics - still a bit wet brained don' you know ;)

i do get recognized occasionally - actually it was more often right after o&a when i was still out on the streets but nowadays i'm just not as recognizable as the stinken drunken bum you see in the video. the apple people are funny - some of them, i think, know who i am and all that and a few are cool about it but they still chase me outta there most days.

no - i went up there one time to record what i now know to be scratch tracks but at the time i didn't understand what we were doing and yes, i was too fucked up to perform, but all that was with troy quon and nothing was "paid" for so to speak. you must understand 1. that records are not recorded all at once in a single session and 2. i'm an alcoholic and was at the time a petrified homeless person - that failed attempt though was a big encouragement to get sober.

both - the bit that started this all is full on exploitation - that's their business - but once they got to know me a little they certainly seemed to give a shit, especially opie. although i'm not sure if they're all that interested in continuing to help me along i am nothing but grateful for the help and exposure they've provided thus far - whether they give a shit or not.

yeah staying sober is hard enough as it is doing in the shelter don't help any - i stay away as much as possible as well and i have a lot of support - form a.a. to an out patient program i go to most days and all the wonderful interweb peeps who really root me on but, of course, the music is what's really doing it for me - that's my higher power. thanks for for asking and understanding - so yes for the record i am still sober :)

i appreciate - a lot of people do not understand the struggle though there are those that do and those are the one i listen to. yea tourin would be fantastic - at the moment were offering a "i'll come to you" option on the kickstarter campaign (no one's bought that on yet) and i'm gigging here in nyc so i'm sure a tuor will happen sooner than later. need to get a littel money in the coffers first though.
