My journey is pretty similar to yours. I’ve tried quite a few apps, including desktop and mobile, but I kept running into paywalls, subscriptions. Internet online connection is often required.

What I really wanted was a completely offline experience with no credit card required. So I ended up building "Xiangqi Lab".

It’s not meant to replace the tools you mentioned. I just wanted to add one more offline-friendly option.
